What does everyone hate about battlegrounds so much? I never understood what the problem was, I think they're fine.

Have you played grandmasters before beyond light came out ? There was no lightblade , glassway , the one on neomuna , birthplace of the vile , proving grounds and not a single battleground . Those were the good old days cause grinding grandmasters was fun . I get it when you say i like battlegrounds because they removed the fun nightfalls and added nightfalls like lightblade and all , no-one likes lightblade so if i had to choose between lightblade , glassway , corrupted and battlegrounds that you can cheese by the way then i would do battlegrounds aswell . They need to bring back the old strikes but all they do is add new battlegrounds .

Editado por xbroggiex: 10/15/2023 3:30:40 AMThey are just lower quality than strikes. Also, makes for a poor activity to farm on higher power deficits since its sitting around most of the time and killing mobs which is a lot slower on higher difficulties making the activity take a lot longer. Ultimately its just more so seen as laziness as these activities weren't designed for GM level difficulty and it shows with constant reworks and broken enemies like projection of savathun just one hitting you in psi-ops. Bungie should just remove them out of the strike playlist and move them into their own playlist and grant older seasonal loot for players to catch up on.

I like them a lot. Add density is great in them.

Yeah I love the defe d Ghost portion of this week's nightfall. Great opportunity to get a lot of testing for new builds.

More difficult doesn’t equal quality 12 year old
-
Most annoying part is those one shotting scorn crossbows. I just know they're still glitched.
-
More difficult doesn’t equal quality 12 year old
Cry more. And you barely do these, I don't think you're the authority on quality or difficulty lol
-
“Barely do them” when I’m a top 1% PvE player lmao
-
🙄 you people are exhausting. I’m literally better than you in every conceivable way but preach on and on bud
🙄 you people are exhausting. I’m literally better than you in every conceivable way but preach on and on bud
Shhhh back to the kiddie table, Timmy. Adults are talking. Blocking just because I know you'll seethe not being able to respond again lmao

Editado por CHROMETRIGGER: 10/15/2023 1:18:35 PMNot how that works tho? 😂 but idk what I’m saying… nice

Harder depending on who you play with 😂😂 maybe that's the problem
-
Harder depending on who you play with 😂😂 maybe that's the problem
Oh it's definitely the problem but they won't listen to it lol

They're just made to waste time. Every encounter is just ad spam while you cap plates, wait for ghost to hack a door, bank some motes, unlock more doors, etc.

What you described is literally what nightfalls are...dating all the way back to the first d1 nightfall Phogoth waiting for our ghost to unlock that first door

In strikes it tends to be a finite number of ads, and once you kill them the objective progresses, whereas in BGs it's generally indefinite ad spawns until the objective is complete. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with having objectives beyond just wiping every enemy out, but when every encounter of half the strikes in a season is just glorified waiting, it gets old, especially since they are recycled seasonal content that people have already grinded out before. Also I would argue that not all strikes do this, like I mentioned to the other guy Wretched Eye and Shield Brothers were both beloved strikes in D1, and as far as I remember neither of them had any artificial time wasting.

As for the infinite adds, some of them are tied to area progression, like when the big guys come out. As for the smaller waves, I mean it just sounds like people got comfortable camping back and killing and then just walking freely into the next area, now they have to think a little bit about how to progress in a room. I personally love it.
-
Isn't killing stuff the fun part in nightfall? I like testing out my builds in nightfalls and never see a big difference between strikes and battle grounds. Not like strikes have crazy mechanics.
-
I mean yeah I like inflicting death on a massive scale as much as the next guy but in the end I'm just there for the loot, waiting around for a timer to run out gets old pretty quick, especially when you're trying to farm.
-
Every strike also has a timer in a way but I understand that ma6be strikes do it a little better. I guess I'm lucky to not notice a difference then lol
-
Yeah there are certainly normal strikes that do it too but it just feels a lot more consistent in BGs. I think some good examples of strikes done right are fan favorites from D1 like Wretched Eye or Shield Brothers. Those were considered pretty difficult at the time but people still liked them because they were pretty short and to the point, didn't waste your time, and had cool gimmicks.
-
I wish shield brothers came back. I liked the gimmick of the one you didn't kill changing and the fact it was different depending on who you got first.
