We're stronger than Ikora??? (Spoilers)
Just finished A Deal's a Deal (which should have been a -blam!- cutscene) but the exchange between Ikora, Savathun and our character seems to confirm Ikora is in a lower weight class than us and Savathun.

One of Ikora’s strengths is her intelligence and ability to see through deception ( apparently lol). In a one vs one she would probably beat us using her smarts, and canonically we are in a fireteam of six when we do most of these badass things and are often helped by others like ikora for example.

2 RespuestasBased on recent lore drops Savathun believes Ikora can be manipulated by reinvigorating the lust for battle she displayed when she stood atop the Crucible ranks in her days as a young Guardian. Having Ikora step up to her plays into one of the many contingency plans Savathun dictated to Immaru. On the other hand, Savathun recognizes us from the end of Lightfall when we did something she had not accounted for; we showed her how the Worm Gods manipulated her long ago to drive the Krill from Traveller and into the arms of the Witness. The fact that she would back down in the face of our Guardian suggests that she views us as a wild card, a force that can defy her expectations. So she called an audible and left Immaru as a sort of kill switch in exchange for her freedom. (΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)

Would be super fun in PvE to interchange Subclass abilities. PvP... Not so fun; but then again... everyone would be OP 🤔 every class OP = every class is balanced?

6 RespuestasYes, and it's not remotely close anymore. Ikora is like Obi Wan and we're Anakin. She's more well-versed in the light and has experience we don't just from being old as hell, but as far as strength, it's us, and it's us by a LOT.

7 RespuestasWe may be stronger than Ikora but she has that one exotic robe that gives you 2 second supers and a flawless KD in Crucible so technically speaking, she is still better than us.

2 RespuestasWell yes. Ikora may have a better mastery of her Light than us and be able to use it in ways we can’t (Super Hax) but we’ve killed Gods and she hasn’t. It’s that simple. In a Crucible match, sure, she might beat us, but who gets deployed once the enemies of Humanity are knocking on our door?

I see alot of people talking about supers, lore wise guardians can spam them just they aren’t effective. They need to charge up to be more effective. Ikora just has that intellect maxed (tbh how tf is that a stat that goes up and down based off armor same for the others) and gets a lil more power outta that spam Overall it would be cool to have a mechanic like this that let you consume your super bar and would generate a super akin to how much you charged up. Just my opinion tho

It’s hard to say if Savathün actually feels that way, she might just be trying to undermine Ikora. If Ikora lacks confidence or is enraged there’s a chance Savathün could better cause Ikora to miscalculate or error; giving Savathun the advantage. I also suspect Savathün is rather confident in the fact she knows the vast majority of Ikora’s tactics and abilities and can anticipate her rather easily.

Would make sense for Savathun to be more powerful than Ikora, despite us beating her in the campaign. She’s had eons to gain the strength of cunning and more. Which overshadows every light bearers accomplishments of strength. So in a 1v1 battle, I’d assume the three hive gods would best even Saint and Osiris.

3 RespuestasThis is why I try and see lore and gameplay in a different light. Sure if we went against the most powerful enemies of the City in the lore it would be a difficult fight. However in gameplay, we know the moment "the guardian" xXN00bMast3rXx steps into the fight. Even the most powerful gods of the universe are no match for a broken build. Especially if it involves a Telesto bug.

Never understood why Ikora is so overrated. Everyone acts like she’s supposed to be the kenpachi of destiny when she’s just not. Our gaurdian would no diff her in a fight
