Because why do you need more than 30 to begin with? Even 10 is too much for me, I’m constantly having to dismantle them because they are so easy to get. With the prism perk in the ghost I can easily accumulate 50 and then ill just trade them in for shards. Its so incredibly easy to get shards. My only wish is to make alloys more accessible, the only way to get them is through GM nightfalls, weekly story missions or 400 legendary shards a week.
Edit: Apparently you cant get alloys through GM’s, my mistake. I could’ve sworn bungie said something about alloys dropping in GM’s but maybe I’m just going crazy lol.

You can use shards to buy focused exotic armor pieces also. Are you new? Asking for a friend. I used 20 the other day buying focused exotic armor. 20.

If you're using them to buy focused exotic armour then this is literally a non issue since you will be spending your golf balls all time anyway.

Master wellspring, takes less than 10 minutes and alloys are a common drop
