First players new gamers on Destiny
A tutorial will be nice explaining how it works the menu destinations contracts campaigns, allies, PVE and PVP.

Sort of like what D1 has, 3 years worth of updates and expansions , all laid out in easy to follow quests and books , ready to conquer at your leisure

I watched someone play the New Light experience, and they could have made it easier for themselves by paying more attention during those parts of the tutorial regarding menu navigation. But at the same time, it doesn't teach you everything. I had to learn some things all on my own too. But if you take your time with it then it'll be fine. Just open every menu you don't understand and look at what's in it for a little bit, and you should be able to figure out what it's for. The person I watched just wanted to jump into the game and shooting things, and that made menu navigation harder than it had to be. It only takes 10 good minutes of your time to figure out the menus.

Stay free to play. MAAAAAYBE drop a dime on a season u think looks cool so you have something to look at and be happy on your characters. But don't buy into destiny 2 in it's current state. Coming from a closed alpha D1 vet that's stuck with this franchise till the end of lightfall (don't care about a refund, I'm this deep in the rabbit hole so.... Might as well keep drinkin the tea) Bungie treats it as a mobile sim. So should you. Stay free to play.

You logged in, got bombarded with a ton of erratic unrelated cutscenes. You received no explanation about anything except go here and shoot this, and you are looking for a more detailed explanation? I never would've suspected that!

The craziest thing is that the new player experience is the best it’s been in years. I agree that there could be more explanation on mechanics and objectives that are reinforced and logged somewhere. I see that the ranks and tooltips are an effort I think that the subclass intro is almost correct as a tutorial factor but I think it’s something that should build throughout the base campaign. Sadly the other issue of why it’s like this is easily on display in the comments of this thread. Many players hate “handholding” and think what exists is sufficient.
