I personally really enjoy the challenge increase. But I see so many people who don’t. And sometimes I really don’t want to get absolutely massacred by a thresher when I’m just trying to chill. I love this concept, but it should be something people get to choose when launching activities, not a set difficulty that they are forced into. Rewards should scale. You’re almost there with this change (and hopefully removing power soon). Difficulty just needs to be elective.
It already is. Hero, Legend, Master, Grandmaster.
There’s also normal and legendary.
Rewards do indeed scale according to difficulty.
Threshers will do that to you at any level. I would expect them to get nerfed soon.

I think if they put a crit spot on threshers, it would alleviate 50% of these posts. I hate dumping all my heavy and time dealing with them, so I stopped and just avoid them with positioning.

I think peoples are crying over neomuna being too hard (its not) and the removal of the NF difficulty that was easier than a playlist strike Everything new at base difficulty can be easily solo ...but peoples still can't build or use 1 build they saw online as their 1 and only way to play
-
My thing is that builds have never felt that important before and now they are, but Bungie has never added any kind of introduction to teach me how they work. Now I have to rework everything to how someone else thinks that I should play.
-
Builds have always been important it's a RPG for goodness sake why would you have all these different aspect, fragments, verbs, exotics and perks that synergize with each other? People are just too lazy too read for ,5-10 min too make up one. Hunter - gyrfalcon and a void weapon= boom you have a build that can do legend content atleast. Shinobus vow with some grenade kickstarters and orb generators. Solar, stasis and strand also have ez ones to make. Warlock- contravers hold, vortex nades. Starfire, fusions. Titan- HoIL even after Nerf it's still good.
-
Ok 1st no Builds were always important ....content were just so braindead you could do them with whatever stats and weapon But builds were important in mid to high end content You still play the way you want ....don't have to copy others build....take what you like and build yourself around it ...that's what I do I'm having fun and can do high level stuff Also game isn't that harder Yes neomuna patrol isn't as easy as others and they removed the NF difficulty that should not have existed in the 1st place ... But aside from that ....very thing about the same ....you might be light locked but builds , new ability / new way to deal with champion and the removal of matchgame....make it also a bit easier

I'm currently on my 3rd intro to builds video and all I can say is that it was so much less of a headache when I was just fuming in a general sense. Now I have an actual headache

Emphasize on mid to high end. Things that I rarely ran because the grind usually took too much time. Having played in neomuna, I would have to disagree on the difficulty. As far as NF, I did them occasionally. I wouldn't touch them right now.

Stop telling the truth, bro.

I know there are some activities that have the options already. I’m talking about the stuff people are complaining about because it has one set difficulty where you’re underpowered. Let people pick if they want the underleveled version and if they do, give them the corresponding bump to loot to match whatever it simulates on the elective scale.

From time to time so would I. GM terminal overload would be insane. But I don’t always want to be underleveled because sometimes it’s nice to just chill.
From time to time so would I. GM terminal overload would be insane. But I don’t always want to be underleveled because sometimes it’s nice to just chill.
I want more world bosses like the bridge ogre in the dreaming city. I Ben with the occasional terminal style activity, there doesn’t feel like much of a reason to play patrol. Easy and lacking unique activities

Not sure I know the bridge ogre boss you’re talking about
Not sure I know the bridge ogre boss you’re talking about
You killed a major and it dropped a ball. You then took the ball to a statue to charge it. Dunking that ball then spawned a boss ogre. More majors spawn and drop balls. Charge the balls and throw them at the boss to remove the shield. Killing the boss dropped down dreaming city loot, which at the time was pretty hard to get.
-
Yeah I know the Minotaur you’re talking about that would drop a ball. I just never figured out where to put it. The fact that I’ve played as much as I have and I haven’t actually encountered that boss kind of explains why they don’t do more. It’s all about engagement for them, understandably so. If something gets a lot of playtime and praise, it will get more devtime in the future, and vice versa.
