Maybe it's the D1 in me but I super hate running double primary, especially in activities that have champions. It feels like I have a gaping hole in my loadout, wasted by a gun I pull out for a couple seconds to stun a champ.
I know a few more weapons just got the ability, but tbh there's so many exotics now I have trouble remembering what does what. Wish I could sort by it in collections.

My only issue with tying a Specific Champion mod to an Exotic is it limits the usability of the weapon. For example, Monarque is now only Overload or Leviathon is only Unstoppable. So if Bows had Barrier Piercing mods next season, I can't use either of them for that purpose as intrinsic properties override the mod. If there was a way around it, it would be great. On a Side note, Monarque does about 10% more damage to Overloads if you have the Overload mod turned on for your artifact this season.

1 RespuestaAgreed. As an almost exclusively "Double Special" loadout player, I too would love to see more intrinsic Anti-Champ mods on weapons. Currently we have: Bastion Arb Div We need at least 2 of each. Possibly a Glaive with Unstop. I'd love a Rapid-Frame Fusion with Overload, and a Anti-Barrier Sniper.

2 RespuestasI kind of agree with the premise, but at the same time the subclass abilities having champ effects basically fixes the issue. Every champ comp, except barrier/overload (Void), gives two options for your subclass elements. Strand and Solar are barrier/unstop; and Arc and Stasis are unstop/overload. Every champ comp can be covered by a subclass; you can go into anything without champ weapons at all as long as your ability usage and subclass are at least slightly planned.

1 RespuestaIf I play an activity that's matchmade and has champions, I'm only gearing up for one of them. I'm not doing the whole dual primary thing, or changing my preferred subclass. If Bungie wants the game to be more difficult so much that they want to force you into a dual primary system, then they should change it back to how it was pre Forsaken. Otherwise, what was the point?

Yes! Either that or we need special weapon options to be built into the seasonal artifact more. At least 1 of each champion type for special ammo weapons per season would be great (for example, unstoppable grenade launcher, overload fusions and anti barrier snipers)

I also think exotics with intrinsic champion perks should be able to be stacked with the passive artifact mods.
