Because they dont know wtf they're doing with the story and lore, we already had Saint-14 and Osiris as an example of this before LF. Hence why so many players said it made no sense. Where was the lore to explain this when their past was already fully fleshed out, and the timeline of events doesnt line up for them to even have a relationship on this lv unless they were already together prior to Osiris being banished?....
-Osiris was banished, and left to protect the last city in his own way
-Saint believed Osiris was correct and knew what was better for the city over the speaker/vanguard
-Osiris continued to work nonstop investigating the vex/infinite forest
-saint was always on missions on behalf of Osiris until he disappeared
-Osiris continued his work/search for Saint alone until we find Osiris
-Saint is basically dead (seen in D1)
-we find Osiris, he continues his work
-we eventually find and rescue Saint
-....Osiris stays in the infinite forest
-Saint stays in the tower and never leaves
Bungie...hey guys guess what? Saint and Osiris are together now!
Are we really surprised at this point?

Sorry but the rest of us actually care about the story making sense over doing things for the sake of "diversity" and nothing else, had it been in there from the beginning this convo wouldnt never exist...because Idgaf about a character or person being gay. I have gay friends both men and women...and even they said their relationship was shoehorned in XD. Go find something else to be offended by lol

Once again, quit trying to make it seem like I have a problem with gay people or characters. You're completely ignoring the fact I said it doesnt make sense or fit within the actual story, lore, and timeline. Clearly you're dumb as rocks so this is your last reply. Fyi if you actually played D1 mr joined in 2018, you'd realize the timeline for them to have a "relationship" in the way it is now makes no sense.

Osiris questioned the nature and motives of the Vex and up to a certain point also the paracausal forces of Light and Darkness. Toland, as an example, did the same with the Hive. The Speaker didn't allowed any doubt in the light. He often send Saint on critical missions, therefore Saint was ordered to search for Osiris and deal with the situation. Saint and Osiris were both very good friends during that time (and a couple as later revealed). Osiris was hiding on Mercury and Saint-14, during his search for him, was lost in the infinite forest. That happened long before our own guardian came back to life. It's OG lore, and nothing was made up tbh.

Literally impossible for their relationship to make sense unless they were together prior to Osiris being banished. Because Saint was dead for years, after not being able to find Osiris. Only then for Osiris to stay in the infinite forest, while Saint stayed at the tower after being rescued.

If it had been hinted at or established their relationship was more than just comrades, no one would have an issue. But they decided to just shoehorn that in for woke points, and tried to make it more official with the latest cut scenes as if that helps -_- Hence why bungie was removing comments, posts, and outright banning anyone who talked about lore. Even I was banned for a week and I never once mentioned anything besides the lore itself. No personal opinions, nothing but lore bungie wrote....that should tell you something.

This game is being Queered. Queering is a process in where LGBTQers are treated as the majority and made to be the most visible. It is funny though because a population that is less than 6% of society has more representation than any other group. Characters who are LGBTQ is the following: Osiris, Saint-14, Mara Sov, Ana, Ikora, Wang, Erianna, and Nimbus. Characters who are confirmed not to be LGBTQ. Zavala.
