Lightfall... Ain't good
Neptune feels so empty, lifeless and smooth (Like they didn't have time to add more details)
Even just adding a few NPC hiding or taking cover would add a bit of life
Just the amount of recycling. FML! Honestly...

1 RespuestaAfter playing through Hogwarts and feeling how alive a number of the places in that game were, it really is striking how empty Destiny now feels in that regard. Even the tower feels lifeless.
-
I’d also go a step further and say that without people to protect and other skirmishes to help in there is no reason Nimbus and Rohan should not have been right there with us the whole way trying to stop the Cabal from setting up their link or getting even close to the veil. They seemed to care less about stopping the Cabal than Osiris did.
-
1 RespuestaIt looks and feels like a Halo Forge map.
-
1 RespuestaCampaign was dogshit. But I actually like Neptune. It does feel full and like a city in the middle of a war zone in patrol.
-
22 RespuestasThe fact that the “population” has been uploaded to the cloud is ridiculous. Lol a new destination and there’s nothing in there… I truly don’t get the logic. Bungie, stop focusing so much on being woke and focus on making new/good content like you used to.
-
It’s also full of Braytech corridors and electronics. They haven’t advanced at all in the past 800-1000 years?

Editado por OG (117): 3/6/2023 5:59:48 PMEvery space feels empty, what are you on about?
-
Yeah it has a cartoony look and feel to it 🫤
-
I agree. If you’re going steal ideas from Cyberpunk, etc. you need vehicles and people. Who cares if the rooms have empty tables or glowing plants? It’s like the mall when it’s closed. And I hate the glass ceiling that you can’t jump past. Giant tall buildings and strand and we can’t get up there! Just a cheap prop town.
-
This whole expansion feels like it had a limited budget. Both the moon and the dreaming city feel more alive with the patrol givers that talk randomly.
-
Every destination is empty
-
We have a city, and we only have four areas to play. What's the point of a city when you can't roam the city as a whole? Even PUBG made it better than this
-
4 RespuestasI have problems finding people doing the terminal overload activity and public events. Never had that problem during WQ. It's wild, cause the dlc just dropped. Where is everyone...
-
It really does feel empty….not one citizen about ?!
-
What patrol zone doesn't feel empty though? This is more of a criticism of the game than Lightfall itself. Destiny is already an always online game. They should structure it in a way to where there is always at least a couple guardians in the area(like social spaces) and up the enemy density. It's really a no brainer.
-
I don't expect a bunch of NPCs to be running around, but Neomuna is clearly unfinished. All the structure is laid out and it looks like the design is done, but it's just missing that final sweep of fine detailing. Those details really bring maps to life and make them more emersive. Just go to any other planet and look around. By comparison, you can see that Neptune is just bland. I like the hall of heroes though. Seems like there's more attention to detail there.
-
2 RespuestasYeah 100%, just walking around there's literally nobody. And I've even gone to some areas where there's only like four or five enemies and other than that the entire area is just empty no chest no nothing. But don't worry I'm sure they'll have NPCs available for purchase at eververse
-
6 RespuestasWell I get that the populace is in hibernation until the crisis is over, that's fine. What I don't get is why they don't have city defenses...auto turrets, frames on patrol, drones, etc. The pair of Cloud Striders we meet are all there is? Plus the city is far too clean for an invasion. I'm disappointed in Bungie's art team for probably the first time in the series. I KNOW that they can make ruined war zones or cities under siege. New Alexandria in Halo Reach, New Mombasa in ODST, they've done it before. Buildings on fire, debris everywhere, glass smashed, computers shorting out, displays on the fritz, wrecked vehicles, shell casings, dropped weapons, and bodies aplenty. Here though, it just feels rushed. Too clean, too sterile. Not enough destruction, not enough action.

2 RespuestasEvery location feels empty. It's not just Neptune...
-
Editado por TheShadow: 3/5/2023 3:49:55 PMWhat did you people expect? The destinations in this entire game have always been dead with exception of Dreaming City and Throneworld. The only reason those weren't dead as the rest of this game is because of Vicarious Vision. Now you get to see this business "effort" put into this game now that they are gone.
-
Neptune should of been a full out war zone not empty as it is. I’m talking like vex and shadow legion fighting on every corner
-
Agree. They really needed to add NPCs engaged. The city feels dead like no one is there.
-
1 RespuestaOnly ever see one other person. Feels like I’m still in the campaign 🤣
-
1 RespuestaJust been there for about 10mins didn’t see a single player
-
2 RespuestasI think If it was swarming and active with enemies it would feel better but some areas are completely empty. Like EMPTY.
-
1 RespuestaI feel like the zone would feel more alive with some dogfights happening in the skies, distant artillery and gunfire ambience, and maybe some anti-air guns firing off some rounds. I'd also add some frame NPCs to patrol zones since we've already seen those multiple times and they'd be fairly easy to add. Or even better yet our allies that we've made should be assisting us on Neptune (Fallen, Caiatl's Cabal, Awoken, etc) in regular play with maybe a few reinforcements for Public Events or Vex Assault. Even if they don't do much damage it would still look and feel cool and make the conflict seem bigger.
