Yeah, sure the mission is challenging. That's fine. It's the lack of progress saving checkpoints and the supreme glitchiness of the mission which have made me lose interest. I don't think the catalysts are worth the grind given the agravation. I've been tossed back into orbit because of some server problem or whatever and I have no interest in starting that mission knowing it could happen again. I don't even think it would be the best exotic pulse if I did. I'd much rather use Outbreak or No Time anyway. I even broke out Graviton from the archives for IB and had much better results with it than I did with that new pulse. I can't even remember its name, that's how little interest I have in it. And, I routinely out dueled players using it while I was using DMT.
So, another permanent vault dweller it will be.

I think the content was good. Typically they've slightly overdone it by forcing us to repeat it over and over. Legendary scaling was a great addition and it would have been disastrous without it. I agree this should have resume checkpoints - for both crashes, and for general use. You can collect the multiple exos and then complete the boss fight once. It's also not just the catalysts but each time it improves the stats on the weapon. Too early to tell but I think it's final form will be a keeper.

My Disparity sees more use.

I'm up to date with the quest, however the weapon itself is just really boring.. it's functionality is just really uninspiring.
-
Yeah, the lack of checkpoints is a fail on Bungie's side. Like 3 weeks ago, when the servers went crazy I was booted 3 times to orbit, but no problems since then. However if you struggling with doing it fast, while soloing it on legend difficulty, I highly recommend solar Titan + Wormgod Caress + Riskrunner + Overload mod. You really gonna have to try hard to get killed.

2 RespuestasEditado por CookieNiki: 1/12/2023 8:45:14 PMWait until all 4 catalysts are released and then run the mission only one time and you get all four. I'm doing it in pairs, got the first two catalysts last Sunday, and now I'll run the mission again when the other two become available. That said, I 100% agree that it should have checkpoints: one when you get to the first boss and another when you reach the final boss.

6 RespuestasSpeaking of this, does anyone have a good plan for killing the brig tanky dudes? I’m a warlock main. Got the solo dealio mod equipped. I like Risk Runner for the ads, but I’m flexible. Help me daddy.

We don't find it challenging really. But we got to the final boss on legend and had him a few shots from dead. My game crashed and of course it isn't a joinable activity. So my buddy had to finish him off and then rejoin me in orbit after. Which sucked as it was. Then we got half way through (to the room with the xivu knight and shriekers), nothing spawned. We mucked around trying to get it to sort itself out but it didn't. So we had to orbit AGAIN and restart. Ended up wasting hours having to keep restarting it when we were 30 seconds from being done the first time before I crashed. At the very least it needs a rejoin activity option when you sign back in after a crash.

7 RespuestasEditado por Brobot: 1/13/2023 12:57:44 PMThis gun, like everything in Destiny after the hype train go away, will most likely will be nerfed to the ground (looking at all those "secret" mission weapons, that are sitting in my vault for decades). So you are good.

3 RespuestasIt's not even good or worth an exotic slot.
-
2 RespuestasI just don't enjoy doing the EXACT same mission every single week on a very challenging difficulty that takes a VERY long time to do, I average about 1 hour to do it and that's just not fun to be doing every single week. I'd be more okay if it didn't require doing it on legend.
-
my main issue is the catalysts are just run of the mill perks any gun can get. no creative new perks specific to this gun. really a let down and a missed opportunity.

8 RespuestasI mean am i the only one who thinks Bungie is taking a way too strict route with their "difficulty" recently? I mean as a solo, the legendary version of the new mission is fine, i'll keep playing that until the last catalyst. But oh boy is the mission terrible on legend with a full fireteam. Little dregs have more health than Calus (raid boss from the leviathan raid) had. Does Bungie not realize how terrible bullet sponges in games like this feel? It's insane to me how noone complains about it. I did the first 2 catalysts solo and thought it was okay. Then this week for the third catalyst i got error coded during my solo run so i decided to do a "quick" run with 2 other people and was literally mindblown how terrible it felt. I sometimes had to put more than one entire smg magazine into a tiny red bar enemy. This game is getting more and more terrible as Bungie desperately tries to make everything feel like a chore thats catered to full time streamers.

1 RespuestaI agree. The pulse isn't good. It doesn't feel good to shoot, it's big and bulky and fills up too much of the screen. It's just not great and I don't feel like the cats are gonna make enough of a difference to matter.
-
You can do it when all 4 catalysts are out. Just need to complete once. Remember to scan all the deaders. Solo or duo. Never trpple.

17 RespuestasNot me. I ran it last night and continue to craft the weapon and it’s only getter better every week. 100 recoil, 100 stability. 80 range is absurd. In the 4 burst mode if I want 100 range I swap to the two burst mode. I really like the exotic mission too. Whisper, Outbreak, DMT and now Revision. They need to do one every year. It’s such a unique part of D2.
-
3 RespuestasI just stop at the step to run Legend version and will finish all four at once when the final quest becomes available
-
1 RespuestaThat’s fair if you don’t like the weapon. As a sniper main I’ve been loving having it in my back pocket against a team of pulse rifle laners. 100 range / 100 stability / 100 recoil direction. Thing is a beast if you you unlock all the stat upgrades.

1 RespuestaThe guns is pretty good, and it’s kinda fun. But there’s seriously no desire in me to grind out 3 catalysts on one gun
-
1 Respuesta6 times on legend. cant crouch and go into vents , not getting key card from captain, or errored out of space walk. I don't care that much about revision zero to put up with 6-7 attempts and bug out. Please fix this
-
2 RespuestasI have never had a problem completing the mission solo, on legend, in under 45 minutes.
-
3 RespuestasHow does it take people more than an hour to do legend seraph shield? Like a serious question because I even LFG with no mic and it gets done fast. It is annoying to do every week but it takes me less than an hour or maybe 30 min to do it with randoms.

1 RespuestaI have Vorpal and the 2 Shot version still sucks. They need to add the amount of energy you accrue, significantly to the rounds. No one is going to use it for DPS. Just stick with the 4 shot. Also, canceling the sniper rounds and storing them would be nice.
-
1 RespuestaIf you're basing it's worthiness to just PvP, then I shall give my input that I lost to the Revision in duels during all of Iron Banner than compared to DMT, NTTE & Outbreak combined. I'm sure this will carry over into comp statistics as well. I ran a 2.74 KDA in IB last week of mostly solo que.
-
Same here, and got the bug with the quest unable to complete, unable to interact with the dead exo but drop the catalyst of the pulse, and was able to forge it with his New perk Bugs bugs bugs

1 RespuestaI thought the server issue was just for the holidays (and presumably consequent heavy traffic) because I was booted at least 3 times from the mission, once just before the final boss battle. And it was a Monday night and I was trying to finish on my last 2 characters, which didn't get done. Since then, I have been so annoyed about it that I have hardly played the game. I am now only playing one character once a week (to open one chest) just to do the story progression. But also, I would never use an exotic pulse rifle as my kinetic weapon when there are so many better exotics (mainly energy) available. What a waste of an exotic offering, and what a repetitive, not-at-all-fun, grind is required for the "catalysts", particularly if u r a solo player. I wonder what player torture will Bungie devise next? It's like they ran out of ideas on how to keep the game fun while the season trickles out in it's last few weeks. I'll see how the expansion goes. It should be more fun even with grinds because of the new subclass.
