You don’t have to be toxic to give your opinion on where you feel changes are needed, but I wouldn’t just take what JB is saying at face value. The seasonal model for WQ fell flat because there was hardly any new content that actually worked with it. Season of the Risen? Barely had any spent time while also engaging the Throne World. Hell, Mars wasn’t even really added back save for just the introduction campaign mission, the Non-Combat Zone/Crafting Forge and Vox Exotic Quest. Season of the Haunted? Leviathan Rerun but little Moon patrolling to accompany it. Plunder? One new activity zone in space, seasonal activities being run back to back in order to use up treasure maps. The grind for Umbral Energy to even focus feels like it has been stalled a whole lot since Risen as the only way to get it is to grind through Expeditions basically. There’s virtually no focus on core activities and they really need a tune up by Lightfall.

Can you imagine if Bungie devs and employees used their own, official forums to communicate such important statements instead of a third-party service like Twitter? Crazy idea, I know.

Not even bothering to read it. We've been lied to about what to expect for years. How about instead of saying you'll fix it in the next update in order to coin up more sales like a con man and actually give your customers what they payed for and do it during the content you lied to them about last season that they were fooled into buying

Same old "We're listening! Next DLC we'll do better!". Then the DLC launches, starts good then the "we're listening" goes through the window and everything goes back to "normal" - being boring/stale. Same old song and dance since "The Dark Bellow", only difference is that, this time, they don't have someone to help to them (I really don't think Sony will allocate their studios to "save" Destiny like Activision did).

4 RespuestasBungie always pipe up when things are at rock bottom with the players. (I question why they wait until rock bottom each time...) Sometimes they really do pull the stops out and improve the game, come good on some / all of their words. Forsaken. Mostly they do not, and instead the list of lies grows longer. Anything post Forsaken. Actions speak louder than words, yet Bungie are the kings of words only. Until change is implemented, I'm putting anything Bungo say on the lies list, right next to that oft promised but still not delivered 'renewed focus on PvP' entry.

"We are listening" for the millionth time. It's getting old. Noone believes it anymore and they clearly didn't listen during the past 2 years if they just now realize their seasonal model is hot garbage and players hate it to guts. Not buying any of that nonsense anymore. Too late.

It's cool that he says they will work on ways to make seasons different (he used a lot of words to say one very simple thing...), but Bungie as game devs should have been ahead of the community on this. It shouldn't have gotten to the point of throwing out the exact same seasonal formula for so long that even the BDF starts leaving the game. In other words, why are changes just now being planned, and why did Bungie feel comfortable pushing players to the "breaking point"? What did they learn from this? And how will they make sure it doesn't happen in the future?

I actually don't even belive nor trust a single thing he says. Look at how many countless lied they've stated in numerous twabs about less ability spam, more gun play, better changes, more fun game play and ae being a good thing for the game.

You can read between the lines, they claim to hear the player base, but are they listening? I fear by the time they bring changes, it’ll be too little too late.

5 Respuestas1. Blackburn clearly studied at the feet of DeeJ and mastered the art of saying a lot, but not saying much specifically. So you have to read between the lines. 2. It sounds like they are ready to start loosening their over-control of the game. But opening up the play loop to include more aspects of the game, instead of the tiny hamster wheel imposed by the Pinnacle system. 3. It also sounds like they are going to work to keep more of the game end-game and progression-relevant. All of which will help with the burnout. He still wont' say if the Pinnacle system will be taken out back and shot like it needs to....so I doubt we'd get that change. Which would be a breath of fresh air. 4. This is a counter to the negative buzz that the content creator community is trying to gin up....and he's making it very clear that he's not going to be bullied, and Bungie is not going to back down. Which is showing a level of SPINE that has been long overdue.
