Bungie.net is a place for fans of Destiny/Bungie. The D2 forums on Bungie.net are for fans of D2.
This is a place to discuss Destiny 2, engage with the community, celebrate the things we enjoy and offer criticism on the things we think could be improved.
*Unfortunately, some of the feedback falls into the following categories:
*******
EXAGGERATION
People over-egg their criticism or trash talk the game/developer, even though they continue to play and enjoy the game.
ADDICTION
People over-egg their criticism or trash talk the game/developer, due to an unhealthy relationship with the game.
TROLLING
*People linger in the forums, even though they don’t enjoy the game, or don’t even play, just so they can trash talk the game/developer.
*******
It can often be difficult to distinguish who is exaggerating, who is suffering and who is trolling.
If you’re a fan, offer your criticism in a thoughtful, balanced and constructive way. This encourages discussion and prevents the community descending into an echo chamber of moans and groans.
If you’re not having fun, it’s time to take a break. If you’re not a fan, it’s time to move on.
❤️ to all the fans!
(Remember to have fun!)
*EDITS: to clarify I’m talking about how people deliver feedback on the game/developer.
No judgement to anyone suffering from addiction. I encourage you to take a look at Bungie’s mental health resources - there is a section for addiction.

26 RespuestasEditado por The Hermit IX: 11/17/2022 2:59:43 PMThe forums are filled with toxic players and ex players. It’s unfortunate and I combat them daily. It should be a place to share, help and give constructive and realistic feedback. They need to start removing them and once banned anything on their IP address should be banned as well. I receive toxic and vile DMs daily and I report them but I’m not so sure they’re being banned. I hope they start to police the boards and make a change for the better. Toxic behavior and constant bashing of the game needs to stop.

This encourages discussion and prevents the community descending into an echo chamber of moans and groans.
You don't have to be a fan to give an opinion, and opinions vary on what is and isn't constructive criticism. It's not like it's hard to tell when players are just trash-talking whether they are a fan or not, and yes, fans trash-talk just as much as none fans.
If you’re not having fun, it’s time to take a break.
It's actually good to take breaks whether it's from all games or to play other games. Destiny has changed way too much and in way too many ways that fans and none fans can easily get frustrated. Oh, and by the way, you don't have to be a Bungie/destiny fan to play or have to like everything about the game to give an opinion.
If you’re not a fan, it’s time to move on.
None of us have to right to tell anyone what to do, nor does anyone have the right to think they speak for others even though fans and none fans alike think this. I can only suggest this, but fans and none fans need to stop this because one is always blaming the other using... BDF Haters Bungie Shill Troll, etc... Fans and none fans both throw words at each other a lot of the time, it doesn't matter if anyone is a fan or not, both are to blame if anything at all. None of us are innocent fans or not, it's the simple truth.

3 RespuestasSadly the forum are now the worst part of the community with people Spreading lies and hate and the same terrible complain every week Love the game but man the forum are a joke

3 RespuestasSo we’re not allowed to criticize the game? Kbud keep on living in schizophrenic candlyland. Game is far from good right now.

6 Respuestas
offer criticism on the things we think could be improved.
Problem is, they have 8 years to improve and things still end up the same, even going backwards so do you think people will stay civil after 8 years of deaf ears and now going with whatever politic/nonsense? I've said this many times, destiny is borderlands wannabe with loot stuck in borderlands era back in 2009 where every weapon is the same weapon in different casings while borderlands 2 back in 2012 has more variety and identity than destiny after this 8 years

1 RespuestaIt’s unfortunate that any and all rational thought is immediately discarded as “BDF” or being a “Bungie shill”. There’s a few people here who try very hard to show us how much smarter they are than everyone else, while making criticism of Bungie corporate practices, and basically pretending that they know anything. In the end, though, it says more about them than anything else, and not in the way they think. It’s a video game. If you claim to hate it, or quit it long ago, then no matter what twisted reason you have for constantly hanging around here it’s just pathetic and weird. I just wish the forums were more populated by people actually wanting to talk about a video game I still happen to enjoy.

3 RespuestasD1 was an unhealthy addiction. First two years I was….THE salt of salt. D1 year TTK- D2 broke that toxicity I had. Realized this isn’t my creation, not my vision. It’s bungies. Enjoy the bumpy ride or get out. Right now I just want bungie to pick a direction and stick with it. Stop trying to please everyone, or get everyone on board because it’s…odd. Please the ones who stick around.

13 RespuestasBelieve it or not you can still like the game while also criticizing everything wrong with it and Bungie’s actions as developers.
