It's been revealed that we will get a solar and kinetic exotic next season. Additionally they mentioned that one of the exotics will have anti-champion mods built in. Finally a dev hinted that season 19 will season Rasputin and Anna return.
Khvostov is kinetic, it fits the warmind theme, and it can swap between auto, pulse, and scout rifle. Meaning it could have overload auto, unstoppable pulse, and anti barrier scout.
Honestly I hated Khvostov in D1 since it was very gimmicky and didn't really have a place since the damage didn't scale based of ROF or mode. However if swapping modes let you swap anti-champion function, I could easily see running this exotic. Especially if holding reload let you swap modes and clicking the thumb stick let you swap ROF.

1 RespuestaAnother year, we still only have 3 stasis exotics…
-
1 RespuestaKhvostov was a D1 exotic because that was our FIRST weapon. Destiny 2's version is Traveller's Chosen
-
I would be okay if it would be able to be a crafted legendary weapon with a bunch of crafting options. But if that makes it too strong, then make it the exotic version from RoI. Though I’d rather not see the exotic version come back.

Why would anyone want that to be a thing? Why?

2 RespuestasThe kinetic exotic is literally obtainable now and shoots arc rockets as a kinetic weapon
-
I sure hope not. It's a new expansion. Give us new gear. ALL new gear. Save the reskins for reskinned content (old raids).

Editado por Guardian, Archon Of Light: 10/17/2022 5:20:55 AMNah, I just want a craftable legendary version, the exotic in D1 was just a Nostalgia trophy anyway, it was only good in one mode which was the same has the white version , I wouldn't mind getting the pattern through another quest though that takes us back through memory lane again Oh , and it better have the crack in the sight, or it's not Khvostov
-
1 RespuestaI doubt it. We just got an exotic AR so Bungie will probably release 3 exotic HCs before you see another one.
-
5 RespuestasThe point you make about the fire modes translating into an all round champion weapon is fair, but honestly I’d rather they get away from champions in general, then bringing back that shitty weapon.
-
3 RespuestasWhile you have a point I was personally hopeful that it would be Fabian instead

No because bungie hates fun
-
1 RespuestaI hope not.. something new please. Even when it was re-release as an exotic in d1 no one used it.
-
I hope not, it sucked
-
1 RespuestaI don’t give a monkeys🤷🏻 it’s another weapon, big deal.
-
Maybe, but I would prefer it to return as a craftable legendary than an exotic I may never use.
-
One of my absolute favorites from D1. We really need it back at some point - such a fun gun
-
I still use my white one on occasion.

5 RespuestasEditado por pcln3806: 10/16/2022 4:26:24 PMDo you have a source for these? I haven’t heard this before so I would like to read it myself if that’s possible Personally I think it’s unlikely that we will get kvostov as solar damage is pretty tied to warmind themed stuff, and we are getting a dungeon next season. My guess is that the kinetic one is from the season pass, and the solar one is the dungeon weapon (if the dungeon is also warmind themed which I hope it is).
It’s a little too early to say, but if we do get kvostov and it’s from the season pass, then it will probably be a pattern of having the seasons with dungeon having returning exotics. I say this mostly because season of the haunted had trespasser as it’s pass exotic. Kind of sad to see that half of the exotic weapons being added nowadays are from d1 though
My one time plying D1 on a friends account I used Khovostov as an exotic and it was quite fun, it’s actually the reason I got into destiny as they were like “ well the second game is around and it’s free you should get ut
-
The Khvostov should be the Guardians M4. Versatile, ready for anything, but as a tool. Not as the thing that'll carry you through all content. It's hold be brought back just like D1, but instead actually make the fire mode changes work like they should. Would see massive play

Editado por ♤ TeaBags0614 ♤: 10/16/2022 7:42:51 PMThe quest should have something to do with Shaw since he uses a Khovstov

I think it would be a cool exotic to have in D2 if Bungie actually gets its fire modes right. You've already mentioned how bad it was in D1, so no need to rehash that, but it would be a waste to bring back that exact gun.
