7 RespuestasThe Div nerf doesn't prove this and many changes made recently prove the opposite. Stop crying and learn to DPS without your crutch.

you know that divinity was on bungie radar before greppo '''''''''drama'''''''''''? and you know that 90% of the game is made for bad/casual players?

While I do enjoy the casual Streamer bashing I have a bit of a hot take. Here is a short list of some things Destiny 2 wouldn't have if Bungie catered entirely to streamers that some of y'all take for granted. - SBMM - Flawless Pool - Weapon Crafting - Matchmaking NFs - Solo Queue Trials, IB, Survival or Gambit - Artifact Level - Minimal Light Level Grind - Airborne Effectiveness changes - Sliding changing shotgun accuracy - Any viable primary weapons in pvp besides Handcannons - Armor/Weapon focusing - Easy Pinnacle gear outside of the Raid, Trials, Master/GM NFs and Dungeons.

Look up any online game and guess what you will find... yep a load of streamers In fact D2 is not that popular compared to some other games for streaming. Streaming today is just part of games so it is not D2 or Bungie just everyday life.

14 RespuestasA new cover story has arisen, huh?… Welp, let’s clear things up. There was no announced plan to change Divinity before. If there was one and it was announced, streamers wouldn’t call it out again. The fact that streamers are the most informed about this game they live on tells you that they called it out based on their own interest and not from what was announced before. Nothing has been mentioned about changes in Divinity before the streamers called it out. If there was a plan before, then streamers would look dumb for calling it out again when there was supposed to be a proposed plan already announced. And we all know streamers wouldn’t want to be branded as dumb, right?…

This is just in prep for them releasing something that will take divs pre nerf place in the meta to sell the next expansion or a following season /s
-
I bet said content creator had inside information based on their responses. Which still shows favoritism.
-
It should be tailored to streamers, they actually play they game and don't ask Bungie to auto complete everything
-
4 RespuestasIt doesnt matter you can use void hunter and its gonna be even better since 6 gardien will shot the boss not Just 5 and if you cant shot the boss than use div with void hunter its gonna be the same
-
3 RespuestasAnd 2 weeks ago casuals cried about 50 champions. Try to see things from both sides of the coin. I’m neither for or against the Div changes. I just play the game as it changes.

PvP isn’t
-
2 RespuestasI never understood why they would cater to streamers. Destiny 2 isn’t a popular streaming game, and it never will be unless they listen to me Which they won’t cuz I’m not fake woke

16 Respuestassummary from a july 15th interview with a member of the bungie sandbox team in which he stated that divinity was on the team's radar

Apparently, you weren't raiding or playing high end content during the pre-Divinity era. No issues, at all - ever. Div gets the same debuff as other debuff weapons - with the added benefit of a very large crit bubble. Even with the 15% drop in debuffing, it will just turn a one phase into a two phase - not a big deal. I don't like it, but I don't sit at home letting it waste my precious time.

10 Respuestasyou know that they had radar on divinity before the greppo drama right?
-
3 RespuestasYeah. All those streamers wanted SBMM, flawless pools, quitting penalties, etc right? The ignorance of some of you is just astonishing. Some of you need to loosen the straps on your helmet.

3 RespuestasBungie doesnt listen to streamers or the community. They have and always do what is best for their bottom line like all companies. Most pvp decisions are made against streamers and top players. And FOR THE CASUAL CROWD. Like SBMM and flawless pool. Becuse good players crush bad players egos so they quit the mode. In order to increase playtime they have to separate and isolate good players who now are in crucible jail. So the bad players can enjoy the game. That is not pro streamer or elite player Most pve decisions are made to extend playtime and grind. Like Div nerf( lower dps means more phases means greater chance of failure and you remain in the encounter) Eger edge nerf to stop us from flying across the ships jumping puzzle to increase playtime. They cater to no one.

9 RespuestasEditado por Morakx: 10/8/2022 9:56:15 AMTo everyone posting "proof" of Bungie saying to nerf div before those cringe streamers. Wrong. They constantly keep in touch with cringe streamers and listen to them. Streamers have been crying about the game being too easy forever. Streamers told them to nerf div a long time ago, just because some edgy content creators express their thoughts on div that excessively just now and after Bungie publicly saying they are looking at div, doesnt mean streamers werent the cause of the nerf. There have been plenty meetups between streamers and the devs for feedback. While streamers claim they represent the community, all they represent is their own elitist needs cause they want to be entertained by the game while playing it as a fulltime job while making the most amount of money possible. Normal players play the game for 2 hours a day max. Those fulltime eilitists are no source for feedback you should consider as a dev at all whatsoever.

4 RespuestasThey could've just blocked/nerfed Divinity for Worlds First next time. And after 1 week or 2 weeks unblock/unnerf it to make it easier for the rest that can't do it without. Problem solved.

1 RespuestaThe only somewhat challenging things in the game are day 1 raids. I would say master raids too but you can cheese the artifact to completely get around their difficulty. I don’t see a problem to wanting to make stuff harder, especially when regular raid bosses fall over as soon as you start aiming at them.

17 RespuestasIts definitely not catered to streamers/good players.

1 RespuestaWith Paraphrasing Bungie: "we don't believe divinity in its current form is actually a balance problem" Also Bungie: "it has an extremely long uptime, is dominant in endgame content and sucks the air out of the room for other weaken options" Also also Bungie: "so we are nerfing it" The course of action does not match the declared stance and this seems to be a consistent problem over the life of the IP. - Players play game - Bungie presents new options for play - Players use options available - Bungie nerfs option due to perceived "dominance of option" - Players adapt, finding the next best option - Players play game - Bungie nerfs option due to perceived "dominance of option" - Players adapt, finding the next best option - Bungie introduces item presenting new options for play - Players use options available - Bungie nerfs option due to perceived "dominance of option" - Players adapt, finding the next best option - Players play game - Bungie nerfs option due to perceived "dominance of option" - Players adapt, finding the next best option - Bungie introduces item presenting new options for play - Players use options available And so on and so forth. This is a path that "works" as it addresses the symptom but not the problem and the problem is methodology of eco-system management. Using the example of Divinity being "dominant" because it removes the opportunity for other options, it's a shame Bungie didn't consider doing something with those options [using the examples listed in the TWAB]: Tether If a target is directly HIT by the tether - Increase its Radius (a metre or two); OR - The tether is attached to the initial target hit and MOVES with them, tethering enemies who enter proximity; OR - Initial duration is modified by number of enemies tethered and killed (add .5 to 1 second for each enemy tethered and another .5 to 1 second for each enemy killed) Tie any of the above to Hunter exotics that line up with the theme of the NightStalker like - Moebius Quiver - Assassin's Cowl - Foe Tracer - KnuckleHead Radar - Oath Keeper This would change how Hunters play their tethers making them think more about placement (strategic board control vs optimized assassination) Tractor Cannon options - Increase the total duration of the Scientific Method to 10s; - Modify the duration of the Scientific Method based on proximity to the target (the closer you are, the longer it lasts); - During Scientific Method, increase the damage of Void POWER Weapons above the flat bonus received; - During Scientific Method, increase the refresh rate of Void Abilities Any of the above would help to address the "dominance" of Divinity but even then, options relating to Divinity itself could be considered: - Change Judgement so Precision hit is what procs the larger Crit Bubble for allies and sustained Fire (constant, not feathered) is what maintains the Crit bubble OR - User lands precision hit to the enemy, sustained fire grows the bubble BUT as the bubble is being sustained at max size, Divinity consumes super energy, then abilities to weaken the enemy This forces precision attack, sustained constant fire (not feathering...) ripping through ammo, and loss of super usage to assist the team. Note Bungie how none of these options require a nerf of effect but a commitment to play. So instead of nerfing everything down to achieve some weird sort of equilibrium, promote effective play by having players engage in deliberate choices. Utility isn't the problem here. Game Dev Ideology is.

Long time coming. Like it or not, it was certainly going to be nerfed at some point.

2 RespuestasIt proves nothing. It wasn't even on the radar until people started dropping forum posts asking for it to not be nerfed. If the game was truly pandering to streamer mentality it might actually be in a good place. As it is, bungie seem to be trying to pander to the majority player base ie people who don't play often/ are terrible at pvp and other activities, overall. Most streamers are very reasonable and knowledgeable when it comes to opinions of the game and bungie's decisions.

3 RespuestasNgl i was always on the fence about “blaming everything on streamers” and still i was yeah ok maybe… And then that line in the TWAB “we’ve been looking at Divinity for a while” got me like oh no really?? Smart of them to kind of protect one of their golden boys is what I initially thought after that! Bungie playing right in the hands of the cry baby’s and toxic part of the playerbase lol
