EDIT: After discussing this topic with the people who’ve responded on this thread, I’m now of the opinion that my #2 suggestion is the best solution to rectify this issue. Feel free to comment if you have any other ideas, but let’s strive for systems that protect the loot that we earn!

Bungie,
It is a recurring problem for some players to get kicked out of fireteams right as an encounter or activity gets completed, but before the chest gets opened (Nightfalls, Dares, Dungeons, etc). There’s no loot protection for when this happens, and as of now there aren’t any limits for fireteam leaders to kick people out of a fireteam to prevent them from getting loot. Leaving this problem unchecked, or as is, will continue to waste a players time, effort, and add even more toxicity to the general player base. I highly encourage the devs to utilize one of three options to solve this problem:
1) Upon completion of any fireteam encounter, loot is AUTOMATICALLY given to fireteam members. No more waiting 3-10 seconds for a chest to spawn and open, you just get the loot right when you beat an activity. The easiest solution in my opinion.
2) If the above option can not work, please add a function to the Postmaster, or H.E.L.M. that can retrieve chests from activities that weren’t opened from an encounter. Right as an encounter gets completed, your loot is protected.
3) For fireteam activities, replace the current booting system with a “Vote to Kick” option for fireteam leaders. This would prevent instant kicks during or right after encounters, and would give leeway for players to get loot that THEY EARNED. This is the least ideal change IMO, but it’s for the best if certain fireteam leaders PURPOSEFULLY WAIT to boot people until after an encounter is completed.
Time is valuable to people who play this game. And to the guardians who use LFG for activities, let’s be supportive and help one another! :)
