Game is broken. We all know this. Matchmaking is already out of wack when the player count started dwindling. It doesn’t matter if game is CBMM or SBMM. If there is a low player count that plays at a given time, game will always be broken. That’s why they added crossplay to an already broken game. And crossplay doesn’t even help sometimes with laggy games. Broken solutions to an already broken game.
The game is old and probably on its end stages. They did everything they could but they seem to not want to improve it anymore in terms of technical development. Antiquated P2P seems to be staying until they dump this game. If they split everything up with an already dwindling player base, the experience would probably get worse.
It’s like Chaos Theory, one small problem gets bigger and pile up creating other bigger problems as it goes along. A snowball effect. You roll a snowball from the top of a mountain, it becomes an avalanche as it reaches the bottom causing a catastrophe.
That’s what’s happening here. Game is already broken. Then you add low player numbers, then you add crossplay, so on so forth. The end point is still a disaster.
Like I said, already broken to begin with.

Destiny tracker confirms 1 million pvp players daily in fact it was higher today. They track all matches. The million active players at peak time is just a very educated assumption based on data. Pvp is very accurate number and pve could be higher at peak time or a little lower.

Editado por Bones: 9/21/2022 4:20:01 AMDestiny tracker shows how many unique pvp players their are daily. (They track every match. ) The pve is pretty accurate at 1miillion active uses at peak time. I know there is a way to accurate measure this but it would never be a super accurate number unless bungie tells us. Destiny is just one of the most played games in the world even though some think otherwise. That’s why they are working with other top games. I tell my nephews this game is old man’s fortnite.

[quote]Destiny has 1 million unique pvp players daily and close to a million people online at peak times across all platforms. That’s because of the stomping in CBMM probably. Bring back CBMM and you will see that 1 million number go down below 500 thousand only and less. Just like what happened the last couple of years.

I agree with you totally. I have played a lot more PVP with the SBMM in place.
