SBMM is amazing...
For casuals and good players, people who've been farming lower skill players, padding their stats, for years? Not so much.
"every game is sweaty and I have to try"
Big whoop, casual players been dealing with this since release and all anyone said was "get good" now that you're versing actual good players you wanna complain?
skill based matchmaking is fine and should realistically be in every PvP mode, how is it fun versing opponents who dont know how to aim?
You care way too much about KD, it's hardly a good indicator of skill, any average joe with a full meta Loadout can do good

It is a tell tell sign of what they truly hate, love or want. You can easily play casually in a SBMM setting but most of you are too concerned about your stats to do so. There is nothing keeping you from playing casually in Control but yourselves. Most of you either want to win every match or not go negative which is virtually impossible. CBMM is cancer to this game and anybody with common sense knows it. We play the game differently to the max. Some of you expect the majority of casuals and average players to become better overnight versus you becoming better against similar skill. It is a impossible feat. It takes months and sometimes years for players to get better especially if they have no chance in winning.

1 RespuestaI REEALLLYY enjoyed SBMM today. It made everything fun playing against similar players. But I do have to point out that the other day there was one guy in a lobby that dropped a 32 k.d. and wasn't able to be killed once. Not sure why matchmaking thought it was okay to put him against the enemies it did.

Starting from the ground up, which is non 1:1 loadouts/guardians, to the network issues with hitreg and then ending at the time-played factor. It's a mess of the highest degree with the term "sweat" not even needing to be reserved for people that try hard. 90% of you at the top are there because of your loadout, not because you actually have any skill in FPS games (no, slidey shotgunning isn't skill, neither is a weapon that has less of a TTK than your opponents, nor choosing a guardian that can generate overshields by sneezing). You can tell this by movement, choice of locations to fight, aim and team dynamics. Most PVP veterans rely on cheese meta builds and the rest of their game is severely lacking. The main point is, who cares about this PVP and moreso the skill based matchmaking, if the metric for determining that skill level is skewed by factors you can't control.

45 RespuestasAfter Trying to Teach, Post Builds, give advice on how to improve, all I received was "STFU you Sweat" or the classic "Go F### yourself". After constant Copy and Pasting and still being meet with that. I resorted to the most Simplest way, Get Good... meaning "find your own way to improve ". 🤷, And now we're getting told to "Get Good"....even though we already are. Y'all are hilarious.

You have no right to tell me sbmm is better. Why would I bother sweating my butt off every single game without any good reward to show for it? You casuals are despicable. If bungie simply overhauled comp to have pinnacle loot again with shaders, emblems and a true ranking system then I would’ve gladly sweat. Right now its pointless, I cant even run meme load outs and I cant go on flanks as much as I like to because everyone is running near each other and team shooting everything to death. The worse part is the game is barely backfilling, the other day I had to face a 6 stack all by myself. I only stayed because I honestly thought players would backfill into the game. I really didn’t want to wait another 4-5 minutes to find a game. It was 4 minutes of me doing a 1v6, but hey sure sbmm is amazing 🙄

2 RespuestasNo amount of "get good" can fix hit registration, teammates leaving, or joining games at 6/68 against a 6 stacks being mercied 15 seconds later. Just wait until you end up in what MM considers an above average player (because average is below 1.0 apparently) and you end up in lobbies where you start getting stomped again. Can't wait to see how well you think SBMM is working for you then.

49 RespuestasSBMM is not good for the top 10%. We have to suffer 4 to 5 minutes or longer queue times. We have to play unplayable laggy players because the they are across the world. How lower skilled friends don’t feel like sitting in long queues and dealing with unkillable players because of lag. Before it saids: Most of us don’t want to “stomp” Most of us aren’t “scared to play our own skill levels”. We literally go out of our way to play scrims AGAINST GOOD PLAYERS It’s literally for the above reasons

Getting kills was alot better and people were using normal weapons. I managed a 10 kill streak lol. But it made no difference how well it played because the lag and the people just blinking all over the place. I was getting killed and meleed and no one was near. I punched a hunter 5 times and it didn't do anything and he ended up killing me with one punch. And I think I was always against a near enough full clan. So. I pretty much still won't be playing it because it's just no enjoyable.

You’ll be fine. If you tank your kd in a casual playlist who cares? in a few games things will get easier and you won’t be paired with meta hounds. Relax and enjoy the system.

just because a game mode is "casual" shouldn't mean good players don't have to try at all to win. - if it is casual then why do you care if you win or not? there is no incentive to win, so who cares. - you want to relax and try non meta loadouts, you can in SB, you just won't win as often or as easily. if you really are testing loadouts then some will be bad and not your style. why would you want to test them on scrubs that make you think they are good loadouts but they actually aren't against real competition?
