PvP desperately needs SBMM
Title says it all, constantly getting someone 400 mmr below me and the enemy team getting someone 400 above is not fun or fair to anyone involved.
The stat is obviously tracked, please make better use of it. I shouldn't be paired with or against anyone that's that much off my own mmr.

When you see people saying how easy the games are without it and how much they enjoy the ease, what about the players your against? Who’s gonna win a fight, ZKmushroom or a random 1.0 KD??? I don’t know about you but I wanna relax when I play this game but I don’t wanna be sweating my balls off, so why not just add SBMM so people are fighting people similar to their skill level,

25 RespuestasFor the 5 millionth time. SBMM works in games with a [u]healthy[/u] player populaton. It's not like better players absolutely hate SBMM and don't want it. It's the fact that this game doesn't [u]nearly[/u] remotely have enough active pvp players to support SBMM. You do realize that thousands of active players [u]at all times [/u], across all platforms, during the entire season and on every continent are needed to support a decent matchmaking algorythm with sbmm right? Otherwise it results in 15+ minute queue times, laggy asian filled lobbies with 300 ping and sweatfiestas for everyone above average. How do i know that you may ask? It's been like that back in season 6 (season of the drifter). We had exactly that horrible outcome. SBMM works in games that have a healthy pvp population. This game can only get to that point by the devs ACTUALLY developing content that's GOOD and worthwhile for the pvp part. Otherwise it will stay dead and SBMM will not be possible.

It use to, then Bungie decided to listen to streamers and youtubers, you know the 10%. They realized it was a mistake and haven't fixed it since. Quality of life improvements for this game is not on bungie priority.

I had matches where I can’t miss a shot and somehow I live when I should be dead. Then I’ve played the very next game where I can’t hit a shot and it feels like I’m getting 2 tapped every single time.

They get dominating content, bungie gets promotion for their game. Unless you have a YouTube channel with at least 100k subs you will not be listened to.

You've won 7 of your last 10 games with a 1.3kd because your put on the winning team because you have a 1.2 overall. If I wanted to win 7 out of 10 solo ques I'd litterally have to have a 5+kd my last 10 games....

5 RespuestasThere are so many reasons sbmm solely won't happen.. connections, cross play, player pool size, lack of a definitive measurement of skill defined by Bungie that they use in order to match make, and casuals don't stick around, they get in and get out, they are not the pvp player base. There is only one answer... A selectable preference node in every playlist sbmm or cbmm ( and a clear definition of how bungies matchmaking works ie: elo,kd,kda or cr ) to let us decide where we want to play.

Where everyone else is happy to play people of there own skill level which is most of the playerbase. So obviously Bungie takes notice of those who cry the loudest which is the reason why we have cbmm. These are facts which the sweats know but won’t admit because it breaks there fragile little egos.

Yes, it does. Badly. But since Bungie doesn't give a -blam!- about anyone other than high-skilled streamers, that won't happen since they benefit the most from pubstomping players less skilled than they are.

Since I’m an average to below average pvp player I wouldn’t mind having sbmm back but if they don’t bring it back it’s not the end of the world, BUT what is severely needed is lobby balancing. There’s zero reason in freelance IB and freelance Comp I should be going against 3.5 kda people when my kda barely scrapes 1.2. (Btw I know there’s a difference between kda and kd so I don’t need that pointed out)
