So, Fate Stay/Night, in it's Entirety, meaning the og series, Unlimited Blade Works (UBW) and Heaven's Feel (HF). My favorite of the three was Heaven's Feel, UBW was second, and the original series last, not to say it was bad but I didn't like it as much as the other 2. Sakura best girl (obviously). The one thing I liked better about the first Stay/Night better than the other 2 was the screen time of Gilgamesh, probably my favorite servant. However the overall character progression of Shirou was kind of lacking in Stay/Night, he just kind of stayed the same and boring. Saber was great in Stay/Night, her coming to accept how things worked out in the end was really cool to see. Rin in this iteration was probably my least favorite character, other than Shinji, -blam!- Shinji. Rider is terribly bland and misused. Lancer doing Lancer things, along with the classic trait of high skill and the worst luck of any servant. Kirei is a -blam!- badass and probably my favorite master of this route. Also RIP Saber and Shirou FeelsBadMan. UBW, Best Servant is Archer, was really nice to see him take a kind of center stage role, obviously since this is Rin's route she was way better this go around, much more interesting character, way cuter. Shirou was substantially more interesting this time, other than damn chief you suck at being a master, which is kind of the point of this one. Poor Saber, used and abused. -blam!- you Shinji. Sakura was a nothing character. The added Lancer screentime was great, but once agane luck kicks his -blam!-. Gilgamesh was very cool this go around, but not quite as impressive. Ilya and Berserker were a neat Duo, cool to see their relationship on a deeper level, Gilgamesh's invasion of the castle really showed off his sadism as opposed to his plain ego like normal. The resolution was sort of expected but still satisfying. I'll come back and edit in thoughts about Heaven's Feel later, need a little more time to think about it.
