Y’all, the ending is way more thought provoking than pretty much the entire show.
I do like how throughout seasons one and two they very low key hid hints at the central question without being to overt and spoiling the surprise at the front end. Was it a stroke of pure genius of how they pulled it off, or was it a happy accident? I’ll never know.
Now I will jump into spoiler land
[spoiler]at the end, does the major pull the plug? No.
I think she concludes that she is living her ideal life and everyone around her is not, so she sets up sector 9 with everyone intact and disappears because she can’t bear the fake reality.
It’s her ultimate sacrifice for the team.[/spoiler]
