I’m a big fan of destiny. I think the season pass and annual expansion are good value for money for certain types of players (me included) and witch queen is great.
However, monetisation continues to seep into the game and the further systems to purchase season pass ranks is worrying. I think offering 10 levels at a discounted price is a good thing for players who need to maybe just bump a few levels to hit 100 but why offer it at the start of the season? It seems totally unnecessary as a catch up mechanic to which purchasing levels was originally billed as.
When eververse was introduced the worry was it’s expansion into true game mechanics and materials and it appears we continue to get closer and closer to jumping the shark. I hope Bungie shows some restraint in this regard.

7 RespuestasI've been saying it, Destiny is inching closer & closer to being a monthly subscription service, no longer even being referred to as a game.
-
2 RespuestasGoodness another thread where someone cares about someone buying seasonal ranks. Who gives a flying f$$$ 😂😂🤦🏿♂️
-
You're worried about that? Some people have more money than time. I think it's fine. It's pretty easy to unlock your artifact.
-
2 RespuestasLiterally a non issue. Only gonna effect peoples fragile self entitlement and odd obsession with what others do in a video game.
-
16 RespuestasI'm failing to see any kind of point here. There's nothing in the season pass that could give a person any kind of advantage. If people want to buy levels, great, let them, why not? Do you not want the developer to have more money?

1 RespuestaIt’s a 1 time purchase per season. So it’s not so predatory that they can keep buying 10 levels until they hit 100. From the perspective of enticing people to do it, it makes more sense to grant the levels at the beginning of the season rather than waiting until the season is half or nearly over. COD does this. Sells version of the premium pass with granted levels on the front end. You don’t have to buy the levels if you don’t want to, and it’s not like hitting lvl 100 will become almost unobtainable if you don’t. It’s not even pay to win unless Bungie starts putting powerful rewards in the pass that disappear if not obtained within a day of the season starting. And right now the best thing in the season pass anywhere near the first 10 levels is the exotic weapon you get at level 1. Honestly, I don’t care if Bungie sells levels. I never bought levels before and I don’t plan to going forward. They’re not that hard to come by in Destiny with even moderate play each week.

10 RespuestasI am curious to see how the stand alone Dungeon SKU’s turn out for Year 5 that Bungie announced last summer. Maybe we’ll get an update when Bungie announces all the content for S17.

5 RespuestasEditado por DarkMoonWolf666: 5/14/2022 4:25:25 PMBuddy they have 3 months to get 100 levels ....that's not asking for much The option is only n there near the end and to hit 100 rank is not that demanding unlike other game battle pass that you can buy level on day 1 Also you might not been there or forgotten about it but when Activision was controlling bungie eververse was way worst worst Back in D1 we had armor with stats to be sold Early D2 we had loot box of cosmetics We fought against those and was a reason why the split happens Cosmetics only shop is good...plus plenty of way to earn the currency in-game in order to get what you want

26 RespuestasExpected it, honestly. They just want the cash. Does make you really wonder if the game retention is actually being reported faithfully, as that’s the only reason to keep heavily leaning into the monetization the way they do.
-
6 RespuestasEh...whatever. I don't buy that eververse or season pass crap anyway.
-
3 RespuestasCalling this out for awareness is a good thing. I tend to agree with you that the franchise appears to be leaning more towards monetization and less towards creating new content.

1 RespuestaBungies cosmetics are so bad I have 150k bright dust and nothing to spend it on.
-
Everything should be for sale, that way I don't have to play the game.
-
1 RespuestaI think the current system is fine, and despite halo infinite now finally giving premium currency in its BP it still feels like a load of lackluster crap to Destiny 2, I think Destiny 2 should have some Silver in its BP as well.
-
2 RespuestasAs long as bungie does not offer any form of broken weapons then I don’t care. Its not pay to win if I can just play the game and get whatever is in the pass in less than 2-3 weeks. The second bungie tries to be slick and adds something thats going to be a problem then Im sure the community will voice their concerns.
-
is optional, so no problem here
-
1 RespuestaThe Beauty of it....is it's 100% Optional.
-
3 Respuestas“As game improves, developers ask for more money”? I’m fine with that. Is this a complaint post? I see no issues here.
-
6 RespuestasSeason pass rank means literally nothing in the overall picture. So why care? If someone on day one buys all 100 ranks all they have done is waste their money. They don’t get any advantage over anyone else.

Editado por Vox Aphotix: 5/12/2022 8:51:43 PMYeah, not gonna buy the extra levels. There is no reason to hit 100 in the first week.
