Hi. One day I and my clanmates played some Iron Banner and we got 4v4 match and we liked it a lot!
Gameplay was more enjoyable, by feelings maps are more suitable for 4v4 rather than 6v6.

they had that for comp - people cried, so they switched to Survival. People still cry. It'll never end

1 RespuestaEditado por Dante: 2/18/2022 8:13:08 PMit felt more suitable because those maps were made for 4v4 it was 4v4 double primary then they changed it to 6v6 and we had go fast update
-
1 Respuestawe had that in year one and it sucked. Its better for comp or trials but not the casual modes
-
1 RespuestaI want 3v3 back outside of trials (skirmish). Best D1 game mode

2 Respuestas12 vs 12 pvp would be nice with bigger maps, but not too big.

Editado por A_mo: 2/18/2022 11:40:56 PMIts definitely something that might help. Either that or larger stages because the things guardians can do are always going be filling the screen up. Like grenades, none of them are really problems by themselves but when everywhere you turn there's some kind of grenade exploding or on the ground or chasing you it starts to feel a little claustrophobic on some of the maps. Especially when you're trying a loadout that you may not be used to using. I like 6v6 but would certainly have no problem with the number of players being reduced in one or more playlists to 4 or 5. Even if it was just a test run. A lot of things have changed since it was last 4v4. Oh, also shot registration and all that would be very important.

Miss 4s in Comp and Trials. Don’t know why it was ever changed.

I don’t think there is a single map in the game that can accommodate 6v6 without annoying spawn issues. I’d love to see maps that can properly accommodate 6v6, but reducing game modes to 4v4 would be more reasonable than expecting a whole bunch of new maps.

See your experience alone identifies the problem with the game. Matchmaking and lobby balancing issues do play a factor but the maps are the biggest issue within this game. I am happy they are bringing back Vostok and Eternity back but we need Combined Arms size maps or we need to go down to a 4v4 or 5v5 playlist.

Agree maps are built for less players

1 RespuestaEditado por Demon_XXVII: 2/18/2022 9:17:16 AMThe ideal compromise is 5vs5 (max number of any PvP team matches) Less people queuing More space on the 4v4 original maps Chance of less bullet lag & dodgy tic rate, with less info for each players ‘bubble’ to process Build maps with variation & size, designed properly (no vantage/Out of Bounds areas etc) Include 7+ spawn points (making it near impossible for 5 players to spawn camp/trap)

8 RespuestasAlways said 4vs4 was perfect. Longer matches also was perfect, less messy for sure. But we won't get it. Youtoubers and the stomping crowd will prevent.

I would absolutely love this change! IB needs an overhaul anyways and this would be a great start.
-
Yes because they were built for 4v4 Then everyone cried for 6v6

2 RespuestasMost of the maps in D2 were actually made for 4v4s, as that's how PvP started out in D2. Enough people complained about it being "too slow" and it got changed to 6v6 while the maps stayed the same. I agree though, I'd personally love 4v4s coming back. They were a nice speed, fit maps, and you didn't have many spawn kill issues

6v6 was chaotic even during D1. It was especially noticeable when playing some match types such as Rift. Unfortunately, players rejected the change to 4v4 when D2 was released. It is unlikely that matches with smaller teams will return. There is nothing to convince Bungie to take such a risk. I moved on to Halo a few months ago. Since then I have completed about 2,500 matches. It sure is nice to have dedicated servers, smaller teams, and better matchmaking than D2.
