Just an idea Bungie: What if Xur sold a single exotic catalyst every week, from among the catalysts that drop randomly from playlists? There are a lot of these catalysts in the game, and I’m sure that veteran players have them all, but newer players definitely don’t and it can be a real grind to get them. A reeeeaaaal grind. I ran enough strikes in the Vanguard playlist and Nightfalls this week to reset my Vanguard rank twice, and I didn’t get any of the 10 remaining catalysts I need that say they are obtained through Strikes of some form. This isn’t necessarily a complaint cause I wasn’t running them grind for the catalysts specifically, tho I will say those odds do seemed a little low once I did notice but I’m talking to the people who made the 1% drop rate for Vex Mythoclast so I won’t try to win that argument. I do think it isn’t unreasonable, however, to have Xur start offering one rotating exotic catalyst per week, at whatever cost you want (tho please don’t give us another Ascendant Shard grind pretty please). This just doesn’t feel like an unreasonable change to make since you made it sound like exotic catalysts and masterwork weapons are going to stick around, even with the changes you’re making to how they work, and keeping it on a rotation could make them somewhat scarce without being entirely inaccessible to new or casual players.
