Definitely not the best implementation in gaming, but I like having a transmog system instead of not. I mean Bungie never HAD to put in the game at all. It’s also in a better place than when it originally shipped in D2.
And it doesn’t make the game worse. You can chose to ignore this optional feature, and the game would work the same way it had for the 6 years before we got transmog.
I don’t think it’s worth getting all worked up over just because of the bounties or 10 per season limit.
Why does it have a weird grind? Because this is Destiny. Everything does. Blizzard doesn’t care if you play Diablo 3 for 30 hours or 300 hours. Bungie definitely cares. They want you playing often. So of course there is a grind. To keep you playing. Just another wheel for you to run on.

While we’re on the topic of me being a noob, lowly level pleb, got any tips for getting higher power level quicker? I’ve been playing a couple weeks now, starting at 1100. It’s not been a fast grind, however I have about 2 hours here and there to play during the week, and maybe 6 to 8 hours on a Saturday to play. So total per week I’ve got max 14 hours maybe I can play. I’ve been doing strikes, seasonal quests, crucible, bounties etc to get XP and gear. But hell it ain’t been quick.

That’s fair. I’ve been working on the ashen wake build. got everything but bountiful wells, which I got F’d on when mods rotated at the compass. I was 2 levels short anyway so I’ve gotta wait til next rotation to get that. Then working on masterwork gear. So I’ve been mainly doing stuff to farm prisms and shards and upgrade modules. Then of course the wayfinder compass levels so I can buy bountiful wells when it comes around again. I’m not too awful focused on light as much as I am on that particular build and the mats I need to get it done. Then focus on getting higher level. But I might have it all wrong in terms of what I should be doing- the game can be overwhelming to newcomers

Ahhhh yessss. Then I’m on the right track. All I need is bountiful wells, and maybe better stats on armor rolls to masterwork. Got the gjallahorn and the catalyst done. I wanna be an explosive -blam!- running with a shotgun for close quarters. Gally and grenade spamming. It’s fun as hell

I did, I did. I read about the behemoth build I think it’s called. It looks cool, but spamming grenades and flame hammers is sooooo up my alley. As soon as I saw it, I had to have it. Been plugging away for 2 weeks to get it lol Any other place to get bountiful wells besides wayfinders?

Currently the only way Don't quote on me on this but I think all these activity are going away with WQ releases...so the mods will be now put randomly on vendors resetting everyday starting the 22

F*** me. Idk if I’ll have enough time to grab it on wayfinder rotation before WQ. So the complete ashen wake is out of reach for 3 or so weeks.
