The Shadows were, to the outside world, an organization started by a group who wanted to use the darkness without being corrupted like iYor was. Shin Malphur and his friends went undercover as Dredgens and started the Shadows of Yor to draw out the potential bad apples. Even Drifter was in on the op, using Gambit as a way to seek out whoever may be “worthy” of joining the Shadows. Eventually, Shin killed all the Shadows from within and staged the death of Dredgen Bane(Callum Sol) to discourage the ones they haven’t already killed.
