Forerunner side arm
I feel the gun is broken. Ask other side arms even exotic still have infinite ammo. So why does this one not?

12 RespuestasBecause it uses special ammo? Bungie made all weapons that take primary ammo have infinite ammo. Special and heavy are the same still.

So why does this one not?[/quote] Because of it’s damage output, range, and rate of fire. With infinite ammo it would be the best handcannon in the game by a mile. It would be the most versatile gun in the game with its long range, highly accurate hip fire, and 3-tap power at 200rpm. As bad as you thought 120rpm handcannons were earlier this year, a Magnum meta would be worse. Other exotic side arms can’t 3-tap you from 50 meters. For PVE I do think the Magnum could use a bump to reserve ammo and chance of ammo drops, as in PVE it’s potential isn’t so high. If they could make it use primary kinetic ammo in PVE only that would be fine. It would just be a bit better than a 150rpm scout. It’s not like this thing is 3-tapping ultras.

Exotics don’t follow the standard rules. Eriana’s Vow Leviathan’s Breath Arbalest Lorenz Driver Fighting Lion DARCI Whisper of the Worm Legend of Acrius These all take ammo not typically associated with their weapon class. Forerunner is just too strong to be a primary ammo weapon.

Because it is a special weapon. It takes special ammo, not primary ammo. That is way it doesn’t have infinite ammo. If it had primary ammo then it would be too good.

4 RespuestasBecause if it did it would be too good? Bungie is trying to honor the original magnum from Halo which did a lot of damage. If they gave it infinite ammo, they would have to take away some damage else it break PvP and PvE
