4 RespuestasEditado por Demon_XXVII: 11/30/2021 10:52:47 AMIt’s stale Poorly managed, over priced & badly optimised Muddled as f*** for new players (and for some old heads) Cross play has broken it (especially PvP) Way too much attention paid to Trials & Raids Sunsetting was bolloxs (as is reusing assets & old weapons with poor perks) The hamster is nearly dead & it’s still got the best gunplay/movement in any FPS/Lootshoot & easy to pick up & join in a fireteam

4 RespuestasEditado por TheArtist: 12/1/2021 2:56:18 PMYes. For a particular type of player. Destiny 2 is a very good game...and becoming better by the day....for the player who wants a game that is a blend of MMO....action-RPG...and FPS. It gives people a chance to taste what MMOs are like without having to make the game a second (or first) job. It is one of the most viscerally-satisfying FPS out on the market, and very few action-RPGs have game mechanics that are this good. This fun. This satisfying The weak point in the game has always been the RPG elements, as Bungie spent the first 5 years of the game fighting that aspect of the game's identity. Bungie has been leaning INTO this part of the game's identity now for over 2 years. This aspect of the game is improving with each new expansion and with each passing season. IOW, the game has found its audience in PVE, and is starting to fire on all cylinders. The problem is during the prior 5 years, the game tried to be everything to everyone. So it drew a lot of other people who wanted a different game, and a different experience. They lost that struggle for control over the fate of the game, and their mad. Some understandably so (PVP), others not so much. PVP players...many of whom wanted a game that was a spritual successor to Halo...are frustrated with Destiny 2, and rightly so. Bungie keeps holding out the hopes of an experience (balanced, competitive shooter) that they have not delivered on, and likely will NEVER deliver on. But instead of being transparent on this, they keep doubling down on "fixing" the problems with PVP. When the reality is that the problems are baked into the design of the game itself. I watched a podcast with two sandbox devs last week, and watched subtly try to move the goalposts on the notion that "Your Guardian is your Guardian in PVE and PVP". "Well we didn't mean that we intended for your super to have the exact same cooldown in PVE as in PVP..." Yes. You did...and that's exactly how the game was managed for 7 years because you didn't have the ability to manage it any other way. But instead of being candid about this....we get (I'm being VERY generous here) **spun** instead. While we start parsing the meaning of previous statements. In fairness. to the devs, they may have been limited in terms of what they could talk about, and so took the path that was open to them. Also PVP has largely been ignored for the last 2 years. Bungie's efforts to return Trials to the game have been lackluster. Finally, they have no compelling new content to add to the PVP side of the game for at least another year. So I have to say that Destiny 2 is NOT a good game from a PVP perspective. By contrast, Bungie has been very candid and transparent about where they intended to take the game in PVE...and you have a lot of people who are mad because Bungie said what they were going to do, and did what they said. Built an Action-MMO for the "hobbyist" player. The problem is you have factions within the player base who don't want that kind of game. Don't want to feel pressured to commit that kind of time and energy to one game....and they're mad....and want to blame Bungie for it. Whereas, from my perspective, Bungie's only fault in this is that it took them 5 years to settle on a common vision for the game, when that should have happened in the first year or two of the franchise. Instead Bungie was caught up in an internal conflict over this issue that took multiple management shakeups and a split with Activision to finally resolve. But it has been resolved.

1 RespuestaSo much potential...squandered.

Editado por Lord Kielron: 12/2/2021 3:50:37 PMShallow and boring. Best way to describe it at this point.

I’ve always been a man of the [Destiny]. A real [Destiny] person.

1 RespuestaEditado por A KOOL POP TART: 11/30/2021 11:45:39 PMNo, it's a pretty shallow experience all around.
-
Editado por Lumis: 11/30/2021 6:30:30 PMIt's the biggest waste of potential in the history of gaming. The only reason I'm still playing is because I'm foolishly telling myself that the game will get better.

I used to love the game, defend it even.... but not played in months.... Bungie helped me break my addiction with so many poor decisions & lazy -blam!- development..... In all honesty would not recommend D2 to anyone..
-
Frankly no. It’s become very easy to play other games for months. I check on it sometimes but nothing changes or is really interesting. - They vault content people paid for and make you pay more for less. - deliver a weak story with few meaningfully developed characters. - various systems are either very shallow or just end up being replaced with better ones from D1. I could go on but the general feel is stagnancy and a developer content to simply squander potential for easy money. Not saying people don’t enjoy it but from an objective standpoint it’s very much a junkfood game at this point, one far past it’s expiration date…
-
Sold out hard and maintains a fan base through nostalgia and sunken cost. The easiest way to get out is never to try it. It is free to play so just downloading it then buying $190 (source:macrostyle) you can enjoy the free experience.
-
I'd say no. IMO the game lacks a sense of direction and is more interested in monetization through Eververse than providing a quality game.
-
I like the story of the game. I also like playing with my friend I don’t get to see anymore really. Even though some people complain a lot about I still think it’s fun.
-
It’s a dumpster fire.
licks finger
in all honesty IMO, iv played d2 from the start i really wouldnt get into the controversy, there changing literally the whole game, some say for the better others the worst, i think theyve just ruined it, youll HAVE to pay for all the dlc 3 of which are no longer available to even play trials, genuinly say find something else, this is not worth the money, expenses or the cheaters that youll deal with every day. bungie used to be good, now they just cahs grab, i go back to when they release forsaken after activision split they said it will be "player focused" but all there is, microtransactions, every exotic being changed every week, DLC being taken away (i got my money back) not to mention the toxic state of this bull. so long story short., no its not worth it.

Editado por mja calg: 11/30/2021 4:28:13 AMThe game play is good and the visuals are very nice. The game itself has a lot of issues, mainly because of Bungle micromanaging everything. And for me the #1 issue is it has no Regional Dedicated Host Servers and relies on 2008ish Halo Era Peer to Peer networking. Many times activities do not work properly because of this.
-
Can be fun at times but mostly is not fun. In terms of materials, I feel bad for new players. They will be so far behind. And the story is an incomprehensible mess. And PvP is so stale. No new maps in years.
-
I've always said that the game has the potential to be something great but it never quite gets there
-
Drugs would make you feel better with the same addictive properties.
-
Editado por NoHumorMan: 11/30/2021 2:45:11 AMIt could be. The gameplay is good, but Bungie are a little stingy on the loot and power fantasy, and too aggressive with the grinding and random drops..
Is destiny 2 any good?
Personal opinion? Right now, it's a game of disappointment. What you do means nothing. Your guns mean nothing. Your magic powers mean nothing. Heck, even the value of the game that you bought is worthless (because it's eventually taken off and thrown away into the DCV). In short, empty. An empty game. The PvP, pffft! Don't even get me started with it. Just look around these forum posts. You'll see how bad it is now. Follow the smoke, because it's on fire every week. Bring popcorn🍿! The marketing slogan for the game was to become legend. You end up becoming un-legend instead. State of the game. That's a short version of my opinion. The long version would be somewhat like a book, with destinct chapters on every issue of the game since it began. It's long.

Editado por joanespotatos: 11/30/2021 11:02:33 AMIts cool. Some take the worst and multiply by 100, and others do the reverse. Its alright. But really, we know the answers you will get in this forum.
