I 100% agree.
Think about how the game is designed - to make you want to collect loot. Think about how many exotic armors there, now think about needing to have the same exotic armors but with different affinities so you're not locked out of play styles. Now think about having different versions with high stat rolls so you can try different builds that priorities different stats. Add in the same but with legendary armors.
Now multiply that by three.
Add in all the weapons on top of that with various rolls. You might have the same weapon with different rolls so you can use one in PVE and one on PVP. You might even have other versions of that same weapon just for GM's because the perks suit that. You might have some weapons that aren't good now but you suspect they might be in the future.
Really, 500 spaces is far to small.

And now divide that by half every year, when entire swathes of your hoarded trash gets sunset.
-
You realise sunsetting isn't a thing, right?
-
I refer to both sunsetting and the vaulting of content as sunsetting. To be specific, I am referring to content being removed from the game.
-
I refer to both sunsetting and the vaulting of content as sunsetting.
Still irrelevant either way. When a season is removed, your loot from that season isn't. It's not like season of the lost gets removed and all season of the lost items in your vault vanish. In fact if anything that makes vault space more valuable because players may want to keep weapons they know will be unobtainable in the future.
-
Not really irrelevant, because every year anything that’s 3 years old will essentially be removed from viability. Which really limits the things that are actually worth keeping.
-
How will it be 'removed from viability? I could have a god roll chroma rush I could keep until the end of D2, long after splicer as a season is gone. As they aren't sunsetting weapons, I could just upgrade that as long as I want. I mean even if that was the case, which it isn't, you've still got new gear coming in at the same rate as they put new content in as old seasons etc go.

Yeah you hit the nail on the head there. Baffling that some people here are being irrational about the problem. Just because you don't mix up your builds and use different things doesn't mean that vault space isn't an issue for others... LOL.
