Matchmaking is horrible
Whatever happened in the past year and a half to make matchmaking que times so incredibly long, and the matches to be so undoubtedly mismatched, needs to be reversed.
I went from having decent matches where everyone on my team was capable of at least pushing a .75-1.2 K/D and now im seeing my team lose and more than half my team (whether I go in with my proven fireteam or not) is under .60 K/D
Those numbers should be rare, I should not be getting mercied multiples of times in a row, it never happened before why is it happening on a consistent basis now
Bad que times, horrible matchmaking. What an incredibly stupid combination.
The matchmaking is broken, anyone who says otherwise is a literal joke

Imagine me, with an average kd of 2+, in very crucible quickplay I must to be the carry of the team, no matter what, most of the times I find myself alone facing the entire team, when I suppose a teammate is around me I just ignore the side that he is covering, so I focus on my side, but hey, I just notice some shoots coming from his side, I turn around, surprise!! My mate just abandon me alone, again! The actual matchmaking force the good pvp players to carry the team, I want to play with unless other 3 mates that KWTD, but the last iron banner was a joke, maybe in 10 matches, 9 of them I face my entire team with KD bellow 1, so maybe at the first minute we are losing around 1 or 2 to 10/15, & the 2 kills come from me! Sometimes I just find tapping the enemy & my mates arent doing anything, just waiting until my death, & after it, they come out to check if they can tap or not a weak target, but the joke is, they couldn´t, they die. Hahahaha... So yes, matchmaking is trash, dont force me to carry the team again & again & over again.

Honestly, if this is going to be the way of matchmaking, Id rather crossplay be disabled at least for PvP content. Keep PvE crossplay and disable the rest. Since crossplay has been enabled, whatever issues that plagued the matchmaking system have now been doubled due to the additional player base. We want to strike, raid and campaign with our fellow gamers. But take the player vs player out

1 Respuestaforeal, why am I, a mediocre at best player, teamed up with other mediocre at best players matched against multiple gilded flawless players on the first match of our card? this kind of matchmaking is what kills games. and there is literally nothing to be learned from getting domed as soon as you peek, or being shatterdived as you try to walk across a hallway. you learn from people who are better than you, but not from people who don't even let you play the game.

Matchmaking is broken, but for the other reasons. Every lobby is full of people from all over the world, with few of them unavoidably lagging (and as result often bagging very high KD, by teleporting, being invulnerable and shooting everyone through walls). And if you see a fireteam containing a mixture of PC and console players, it's 100% guaranteed they will lag. And I'm sure they know it and make such teams deliberately. Bungie must re-introduce CBMM first, with some very strict ping requirements, and disable cross-play. Then matchmaking will be perfect again.
