Look I'm seeing a lot of people make comments about things they're experiencing, a lot of which are literally impossible, the mechanics of the game have invisible cool downs that will prevent you from meleeing twice at once, you have to complete the animation and reset before you can do it again. And if you are playing on console, don't know how you could possibly implement aim bot. Are there people using modded controllers that will do things like auto jiggle to avoid getting headshot? Probably. Odds are most people are using them for things like auto fire which isn't cheating. Let me say that last one again. If one of your complaints is auto fire. that is /not/ cheating. It is helpful to people with neurological disabilities and repetitive motion injury. And if you want to know how Bungie feels about it, here's your answer. A future update will be bringing some variant of auto fire to the game, probably with a menu toggle. Not just as a perk but as an inbuilt feature. Bungie has stated a commitment to find ways to be inclusive of otherly abled players. This is an /industry/ agenda now, which is why most games now load with a spoken voice narrating the menu. They are actively trying to be inclusive even if that is inconvenient to normatively abled players. You are probably going to have to accept living in a world where these are a thing because while they can be abused in competitive games they also grant access to people who are disabled. As long as a macro is not performing a task that is otherwise impossible, I strongly doubt you are going to get them to take action. That said, personally, if they find you are using a modded controller in an event like trials? Yeah sure I'm fine with banning you from that game mode. But the fact is they'll only be able to tell by reviewing the command inputs posthumously and a lot of the sweaty players are going to find them selves receiving bans for "automation like control inputs detected". Why? Because your console has authenticated that controller as legit rather it's modded or not, Bungie will not know if it's a modded controller, they'll just have to review input data so if you are highly efficient and mechanical at performing those gestures you're going to get flagged. Rather or not they "should" do anything about it. They probably /can't/ in a way that will not impact innocent parties, and above all, they almost certainly won't either way.
