Bungo I miss using this weapon. Granted in my humble opinion this was the best secret exotic quest Destiny 2 has ever seen. I wish more exotics in the near future can follow the steps of how this quest was designed. We need this weapon to be great again. It use to be a viable option for Boss DPS but kind of fell under the way side. I am not sure if its because the meta artifact is not anything to do with snipers this season. However maybe you should consider making artifact that caters to multiple weapon archtypes per season instead of just one. This season for damage is fusion rifles maybe next season throw in snipers and Machine Guns and something else idk spice things up.

1 RespuestaNot sure if this would do any good or not but my first thought of making it more desirable to use would be that Every precision hit would reload a round from reserves immediately, then if 3 hits in rapid succession 1 round would regenerate to reserves.
-
Agreed.
-
1 RespuestaBut this means you would be playing the game to have fun Bungie will have none of that .

Editado por Zer0Warri0r: 9/29/2021 11:31:08 PMWill never happen snipers are "too safe" to be doing any meaningful damage from bugnies perspective. We had a sniper meta for a lot of D1, black hammer and black spindle being a huge part of that. We had a sniper meta again from whispers release to its nerf and even after that with instant reload wells and Darci. I think we as a community have had enough sniper(black hammer, black spindle, whisper) metas for a long time. Fusions and linear fusions are the meta for the first time since sleeper in D1 and merciless infi mag glitch during D2 Y1 and I welcome this meta for the next 5 or so months of this season.

2 RespuestasHonestly, giving it back it’s infinite ammo and cutting its reserves wouldn’t make it broken. It excelled at long arduous boss fights where ammo economy was a bigger issue or extended damage phases versus bosses with big health pools. Most modern encounters are very short bursts of DPS (Atheon, Templar, Atrax) or have really tough to hit crit spots (Taniks). Encounter design is half the issue, and Bungie keeps making the same three encounter types over and over. - Burst DPS with swords - Burst DPS versus close unmoving target - Slightly longer DPS with interruptions and annoying crit spots. The only one that might have worked to Whisper’s favor was Riven, but the cheese is so much easier than actually doing the encounter legit. Last time Whisper was good was Escalation Protocol Bosses and the final boss of Scourge of the Past. Both of which have long DPS phases against enemies with semi-easy to hit crit spots and tons of health. TLDR: infinite ammo gives it a good niche that we don’t really have because Bungie just remakes the same 3 boss encounter types.

Yes please if you have that annoying linear fusion in speciali see no reason not to put whisper in it.
-
Put other sniper rifles back in the heavy slot so there is competition or o replacement for whisper then I’ll get behind it. Destiny 1 weapon system revert cause the whisper to be changed and nerfed like it was cause there was nothing that could be a replacement for it.

6 RespuestasEditado por TheShadow: 9/27/2021 11:53:07 PM"But then you won't use any other sniper" Bungie needs to stop being so hurt that players don't want to use what Bungie wants them to use, and let the players have that players choice. This seems to be a big issue with Bungie. Anything that is fun to use, needs to be nerfed to their liking. It's part of the reason I rarely play this game. Bungie is a fun killer...

I see you Donald

"Make ________ great again" Really? That crud is played out.
-
Whispered breathing re-work: landing rapid precision shots increases precision damage stack. Landing a body shot or coming out of aim for a certain period of time rests’s the stack.
-
No, it became a staple in every bloody activity, and if you didn't have it, you were -blam!- on by other players, I'm glad they needed it, and I can't wait till they nerf dive as well
-
When anti barrier sniper was with us, I used Whisper in a few Proving Ground GM's and it was really good for champions. It's still a really good weapon, just not really worthy of the Exotic spot.

But please fix the Broken Stars 2 quest ; where I got the skews while using another character now the progression will not go forward and the skews will Not reappear. Waited for multiple resets and hot fixes still not fixed. I did pay for this season like all the other ones I payed for bought tour $100 witch queen in advance. Just free money . I do Not understand why this has at least been addressed like saying when it will be fixed or some sort of acknowledgment. It’s one thing to have a bug another to ignore the people who can not enjoy the paid content . I truly enjoy your game most days but this is the kind of thing that sends people the other direction when they see tour next product. Please a fix or feedback from the company not just from random people who can not fix the problem. It’s a small number but we are still customers. Sorry about being angry but Cmon man!!

It is but a shadow of the awesome blackhammer the original crota raid sniper ohh how i miss D1 raid weapons they were awsome untill they got destroyed and sent into oblivion by bungie and there hatred for our well earned nice things why do you hate us having nice things bungie why ! lol
-
Creating a new area with new enemies and new bosses takes development time. It is much more cost effective to create exotic quests with a bunch of recycled quest steps that make you grind existing content. Whisper was the best exotic in the game and getting it was the most fun of any exotic quest in the game. The fact that Bungie nerfed this weapon and sunset the quest shows how little they respect our time.

1 RespuestaWith they way the sandbox is currently, why is there even a heavy slot, I mean seriously.

4 RespuestasEditado por BlueWolfSpirit: 9/27/2021 7:26:00 PMThe biggest issue that Whisper suffers from is how encounters are desgined. Right now, Fusions and Linear Fusions have a mod this season but even without it, Whisper would only be the top DPS option imo for only 2 encounters. Riven which is always Cheesed and Sol Inherent(Final Boss of Garden). Unless encounters are designed more to where you have to keep your distance and the boss isn't moving much, Whisper will not be as good as it was.

13 RespuestasIn my opinion I think they should put the Whisper of the Worm in the Special slot instead of heavy...
-
2 RespuestasAlso make the catalyst available.
-
I want to options for the gun either buff it or move it to the special slot. Same goes for Darci, these two are no longer usable in alot of situations cause other weapons either deal more damage or has easier of use.

Editado por Hal Jordan: 9/28/2021 6:51:11 AMIt needs triple tap and that one perk that Super Good Advice had from D1 that made almost every bullet go back to the magazine when you missed the shot

1 RespuestaEven pre nerf, infinite ammo was nice yeah but its issue was you can get reliable damage on a boss without having to hope and pray heavy dropped for another dps phase. WHICH they can only go for 3 phases before the bosses become enraged and just insta wipe everyone anyway. Hell it wasn't even the best heavy option when it was "Breaking" the ammo economy. It still got out damaged, you just didn't have that safety net of infinite ammo potentially. That should be its gimmick since exotics are going for gimmicks now instead of practicality.
-
3 RespuestasHonestly if they un-nerfed Whisper to where it had infinite ammo again I really don’t think it would break the meta much at all. They always come out with some artifact mod every season that dictates the meta, so they wouldn’t break the game if they brought it back.

The whisper mission was the best
