TLDR: We need a more user friendly way to gauge our connection to the game.
Let’s back up a bit. Last night I logged in to try and get 3 wins in trials with some friends, when I discovered my account has been temporarily restricted from pvp match made activities. Now was this deserved? I really don’t know, maybe it was. But that’s the issue.
The matches I’ve been in lately have been fairly smooth, no obvious signs of lag, but then a week ago I get a restriction warning. So I run a speed test and my network is performing as it has for the past 3 years that I’ve been playing on this connection. The result? I figured I was getting an abundance of reports thanks to me putting disruption break to full use the past couple of weeks and kept playing.
Here is my request bungie, if your going to kick people out of PvP due to their connections (which I’m all for, few things worse than being killed by a player who never loaded all the way in.) Could you please give us a better indicator of poor internet performance than a little white bar on the roster screen that doesn’t even give us a reference of what is acceptable and unacceptable? It’s not easy to gauge as is, and especially for people who live in more rural areas it’s hard to be certain of our connection at any time.
TLDR: We need a more user friendly way to gauge our connection to the game.
Back in D1 we did have this you could see everyone's connection via bars who was redlining and who was green ect, But bungie in their infinite wisdom chose to hide that in D2.

3 RespuestasIt doesn't matter if you don't observe issues caused by your network connection, it matters how your connection is negatively impacting other players. Network Troubleshooting Guide
