[i]Not wanting to waste whatever energy he has left by talking, Alignment flicks the rest of the balls in his bow configuration at Venus, trying to have them hit her, but keeping them in place if they miss.[/i]

[spoiler]The music continues. https://youtu.be/sRiM7kr13lI[/spoiler] Once again, she doesn’t make the slightest effort to dodge, and she’s promptly left with several wounds all over her body. Unfazed, she held out her still-bleeding hand, and the veins that had been left on the ground before lift into the air. They light aflame with blue fire, and lunge at you from three different directions. All the while, the light continued draining you. It wouldn’t be much longer until you succumbed.

[i]Alignment lowers the platform he sits on to avoid the attack. He then tries to move it closer to the guards he defeated and absorb some of the gear they had to buy himself more time and energy.[/i]

You duck out of the way of the attack, and a grin creeps across Venus’ face. As soon as she sees you making a dash for the door, however, her expression goes sour. With another wave of her hand, the veins rapidly bend around the room, and block the exit. “Sorry, dear, but you aren’t getting away that easy.” She says. There were still only a scarce few vines in the room, and so the door was only barred very loosely. You couldn’t escape the room, but you could probably slip your arm through the gaps, and as it happened one of Rho’s soldiers was relatively close to the door on the other side.

[i]Alignment puts a ball between the vines to prevent them from closing and tries to absorb a piece of the armor.[/i]

The armor on the soldier soon begins to vanish, and some of your energy returns to you. Venus smirked. “I see. You’re not trying to run at all, are you? You just want to keep the party going. Well, who am I to disappoint? Let’s keep going, then.” Severaldrops of water seemed to materialize in the air above you, joining and spinning rapidly until they formed a large spike looming overhead.

The water began rushing down, pushing down harder, and harder, waiting for your draining strength to give out, and force the platform to slam into you. As Venus noticed the lasers, she lazily dodged out of the way. It wasn’t enough to avoid the lasers completely, but the blows she had taken were relatively light.

[i]Alignment causes the balls making the platform to spread out by a little and activates the lasers between them to create a net of lasers, intending to evaporate the water.[/i]

[spoiler]The music continues. https://youtu.be/sRiM7kr13lI[/spoiler] Venus watched you as the water evaporated into the air. She let out a small chuckle, seemingly amused by the display. She didn’t throw another counterattack, giving you a clean opportunity to strike, but your energy was fading quickly. It wasn’t clear how much longer you could last.

[i]Alignment tries to scrape another piece of the armor while moving the balls and lasers around Venus to keep her occupied.[/i]

Despite the lasers, Venus saw what you were trying to do, and with a flick of her wrist, the veins baring the door curved outwards, and dragged the downed soldier out of reach. Even though the door was open now, the energy drain had taken its toll, and you could hardly bring yourself to move, quickly collapsing to the ground. Venus quickly dove out of the web of beams, and moved over to you, a large ornate sword forming in her hand. “Oh how sad.” She mocked. “Time to get rid o-“ Before she couod finish talking, a large metal box came flying in from the other room, striking her in the stomach, and sending her reeling backwards. SAYU soon swam into the room, and immediately dashed over to you. “Oh no! [User: Alignment]!” She yelled. “You look really [bad]!” Following after her, another figure stepped into the room, and walked up next to you, locking his eyes on a very angry looking Venus. With a smirk, he put his hand on his hip, and let out a small chuckle. “Well that was hardly a fair fight.” Joshua said. “How about we start from scratch?” He turned to you, and offered a hand up. “Need some help, [i]detective[/i]?”

[b]Alignment:[/b] “That would be nice. How’s that stab wound?”

When you didn’t grab his hand back, he went the rest of the way, gravbing your arm, and pulling you up. The second his hand touched you a wave of energy passed through your body. While you didn’t feel completely revitalized, you felt much better than before. Joshua played it down, but it wasn’t hard to see that doing so took a lot of him. He shrugged at your question. “I’d be lying if I said I felt right as rain, but I feel perfectly well enough to fight if that’s what you’re worried about.” “Enough. If you’re going to protect him, you’re simply going to die as well!” Venus said, the halo behind her beginning to glow again. You began to feel draining effects, but only for a second; it stopped as soon as Joshua put his hand on your shoulder. He held up his wrist towards her, seemingly to show off his glowing purple bracelet. “You’re going to need some better tricks than that, [i]your highness[/i].”

[b]Alignment:[/b] “Oh, this could be a talent show. Let me go first.” [i]He arranges all ten balls into a specific form mimicking a human body, minus the head. Each ball acts like a separate joint, 1 for the chest, 1 for the pelvis, 2 for the elbows, 2 for the hands, 2 for the knees and 2 for the feet, activating the lasers to fill in the blanks. He then controls it like a puppet and has it attack Venus from above with a kick.[/i]

Venus grips her sword tighly and goes to cleave it in two, but as she was distracted by your puppet, Joshua put his own move into action. “SAYU, some ammo if you’d please?” He says. A few seconds later, SAYU creates a few pink balls with her holo-barriers. Levitating one telekinetically, he throws it forwards just as Venus is about to swing her blade, striking the weapon and delaying it for just a second, allowing your puppet to kick her to the ground. Amgrily she pulls herself to her feet, and grips her sword tighter. The blade shatters into countless small shards of metal, which are promptly sent hurtling towards the two of you in a wide wall of shrapnel.

[b]Alignment:[/b] “Josh, behind me, if you would.” [i]He recalls his balls and forms them all into a long pole which he spins like a propeller to deflect the attack.[/i]

Joshua ducks behind you, and tries to assist in the defense by catching as many of the shards with his telekinesis that he can. Between your combined efforts, only a few got through, leaving you with only a few light scrapes. As soon as the attack subsides, Joshua stepped forwards, and threw two more of SAYU’s holo-spheres towards Venus, who had, for the moment, ceased her assault, though with a clear look of annoyance on her face.

[b]Alignment:[/b] “What’s the matter, Venus? I thought you said you’d enjoy a challenge.”

Venus easily deflects both of the holo-spheres with a panel of light, before narrowing her gaze. “Oh I do, but I’m not that big a fan of uninvited guests, not that the two of you will pose much of a challenge anyway. I’m just trying to decide, what’s the best way to kill you. Any preference?”

[b]Alignment:[/b] “Dying of age was always the goal.” [i]He reconfigures his pole into a scythe and extends the blade to slice Venus.[/i]

“Well, I’m afraid that one’s not on the table!” She catches your scythe against a barrier of light, and then forms one of her own in her off hand, and throws it towards you like a razorblade. Joshua pulls back in the three holo-spheres towards him, ready to assist with your next attack.

[i]Alignment retracts the balls to make a temporary barrier.[/i] [b]Alignment:[/b] “Josh, buddy, could I borrow a few of those balls?”

The scythe lodges into the barrier, but then the handle begins squirming around, and soon it turns into a scorpion’s tail, and begins trying to reach around the barrier for a stab. “Ooh, got a plan up your sleece? Well, then they’re all yours. They can’t move on their own like yours, though, [i]detective[/i].” He says, floating them over to you.

[b]Alignment:[/b] “It’ll do.” [i]He uses his strings to stitch the holo-balls together along with his own balls. He uses the holo-balls for a handle so he can focus more of his own into the hammer part of the new configuration, using it to swing at the scythe to knock it back at Venus.[/i]

As your hammer collides with the scythe, its blade shatters into dozens of metal shards, just like her sword before. This time however, they were already much closer to you. Their orientation changes, ready to dive towards you, this time likely too close to block. As this attack prepared itself, Joshua seemed to get distracted by something, turning his head towards the ceiling.
