The issue is that the range on slug shotgun, and the speed and distance that cryoclasm lets Titans slide makes it almost uncounterable.
As the distancing tactics that let you stay out of the reach of pellet shotguns still leaves you in range of slug shotgun… and this morning I got taken out by Chaperone at hand cannon range.
Then add to the fact that the motion—and poor hit resgistration—is an additional protect your the player in motion? Playing against it is oppressive.
Shit. The registration on ps5 right now is so bad I watch Ed a Hunter with only a sliver of health withstand a melee AND a shotgun blast at point-blank before finally going down.
I had a front row seat because it took my own shotgun and TWO melees to get him to that point.
Oh, and then there’s the input lag where I lost a fight because I pulled the trigger on my AoS and literally NOTHING happened. The weapon failed to fire….

I get that but not everyone slides with a shot gun. It just seems like they’re hurting the higher skilled player for using the games tools. I don’t know this seems like a really unwarranted nerf

No everyone doesn’t. And letting that one play style dominate limits the viability of other styles that require different skills.

Nobody wants to see a bot walk around with no type of rhythm to their gameplay. Then again, Im starting feel like those are the people this game is made for lol

Where did I say get rid of it? I’m saying that if Bungie isn’t going to let primary weapons kill fast enough to keep up with the speed, the the speed needs to come at a cost. Right now there is NO weapon performance cost to sliding. While there are for running, jumping, blinking, etc…. Bungie should have done this years ago.

Wether you get slid by a special weapon or primary, you won’t ever see this change being bad cause you simply can’t keep up. Listen I’m not trying to insult anybody. In this game you’re either good or you’re not. If you can’t keep up don’t pretend like it’s the games fault, cause sliding being penalized is not good for this game. Period. Nerfing universal mechanic only a small percent actually utilize, will never sit right with me cause proofs in the pudding. Good players know how to make it work. Iow, people who choose to play differently than you. Good games allow for a wide variety of play styles. They don’t force you to play one way by making all other ways ineffective. Right now, players can slide into you so fast, and from so far away, that the play style is becoming uncounterable and oppressive. Because if the lag the game can’t keep up. Players sliding around dont take damage properly. Primary weapons don’t kill fast enough for the speed at which players move…and there have been ZERO weapon handling penalties associated with any of this. I would have preferred Bungie speed up the TTK to allow players to stand there ground and fight. But I’m tired of getting killed from hand cannon range by apes sliding around everywhere and being forced to fight with primaries that are not up to the task by design.

I'd rather them fix melees that are absolutely dogshit then someone who spamms slide across the map. I play a prethera of playstlyes. The fact they are penalizing primary weapons just shows they want us to play at 1 sensitivity to cater to those who play like they forgot to turn on their screen

They are actually trying to give primary weapon users a way to fight back against shotgun apes without having to resort to their own shotgun.

You wish you're happy with a change to slow up game play for you as you can't keep up. Imagine people wanting to get better instead of dumbing down the game. Which is why we ended up with double primary restricted and slow movement. Poor ttk As well as restricted subclass trees.

These words exactly. Players who are truthfully skilled are still going to use the slide mechanic regardless due to how many perks support the nature. It was a great change in my opinion because there was no punishment for sliding into every gunfight.
