So the hdr in this game is so freaking terrible on consoles it does not nake the game look better but way worse when are u gonna fix hdr and no its not my settings its just the game has insane bad hdr and the build in contrast is way off in hdr mode

Doesn't work if your tv already has hdr.
-
HDR settings has been shit since they had it. Played Destiny in 3 different TV's in total and in none of them it was true HDR. I mean they can't even fix HDR 😂
-
Looks good no my Samsung. Its just a DIFFERENT look, because everything is brighter, crisp, and with sharp contrast. Some Destiny players have gotten used to a dark-and-gloomy vibe....and HDR doesn't give you that.

1 RespuestaHDR+ on my Samsung 65", ps5 combo looks brilliant. Might be in your settings?
-
Has to be your tv/monitor serttings. HDR on mine looks awesome.
-
On PC it’s trash too
-
Agreed. No other game I have played has this issue like destiny. Still waiting for a fix.
-
Completely agree. I fiddled with it for 2 hours before turning it off. Dark areas are just too dark with it on no matter where any of the sliders on. If you put dark areas to the best brightest you can then everything else looks like crap.

1 RespuestaLook for a tutorial on how to find the best settings, theres 2 methods (ps or xbox). Hdr has always been broken and although its much better now than originally, you cant just configure the settings like you would on any other game otherwise hdr will be WAY too bright or WAY too dark.
-
Agreed. I went through the default Xbox hdr setup process when I got my tv. Then they implemented hdr to destiny 2 and I had to reset the hdr all over again manually because it was way too dark and muddy looking.

One quirk is you have to go into Destiny with HDR off and set recommended brightness and contrast levels, then turn HDR back on and set the black level at 50%, then time the white balance.

7 RespuestasYeah, it felt like the worst “step forward” in display tech I’ve ever had. I thought going with the HDR screen and One X would really enhance my Destiny experience. Meh… it is an absurdly dark HDR. And I’ve spent a lot of time fine tuning the HDR settings. Still very dark.

Its actually a lot better than it used to be but yes, Destiny 2 has some of the worst HDR implementation still. I wouldn't expect any more improvements.
