The escalating cost of resetting the artifact is absurd. It prevents us from playing how we like and makes it stale. That's the opposite of what the artifact is doing i e. Introduce seasonal variations in the meta.
There is NO reason why we shouldn't be allowed to unlock all mods.
The game would still be balanced. I.e. you can't do breach and clear and energy accelerant at Same time. But it would allow me to be more creative by choosing how to play the game vs glimmer restrict my appetite and build creativity that day
_------_
Addendum
A lot of people are throwing around the "conscious choice". Ok how about this
Let ME choose what I unlock . I can skip through many of the second and third rows perks. I want to be able to choose what I unlock and unlock more of last two columns.
Basically if we had 2-3 more unlocks for the final two columns everything would be fine.
To all those who agree with me, ya all get me and thanks

1 RespuestaWe should have all the artifacts from previous seasons. And freely juggle between them for a price
-
1 RespuestaI dont think we should be able to unlock everything but maybe make it so u can reset the whole artifact like we can now, or tradeoff a mod with another for a 12th of the reset price(since we get 12 mods) Also make the reset price cap, mines like 200,000 already, from like 6 resets.
-
I agree. It's dumb to have to reset the whole thing just to unlock one other mod. I just can't be bothered with that. I'm being serious.
-
9 RespuestasThe fact that the mods even exist bothers me. Ask yourself. What purpose do the champion mods serve? To kill champions. That is literally the only purpose. I don't care what anyone says. Giving up a slot just to kill a single enemy is asinine. That's not "critically thinking." It's stupid.
-
I agree it’s kinda stupid, considering most people won’t use 75% of them and just use the important/good mods and never touch most of them
-
1 RespuestaYeah I personally think it’s really pointless limiting us. I don’t think Bungie really thought it through.
-
2 RespuestasRemember all the mods in destiny 1 🤪 you could get heavy ammo, no bricks then you pop one. You could kill any enemy with d1 mods 🤨 you could yank damage with d1 mods, you could run faster with d1 mods. You could hit any crit spot while jumping like a drug using rabbit with d1 mods. Bring back all d1 mods and get rid of d2 mods 🙏

62 RespuestasEditado por Mario Mario: 6/18/2021 6:47:22 PMYour claim: "There is NO reason why we shouldn't be allowed to unlock all mods." Your supporting statement: "The game would still be balanced." So you created this straw-man and just demolished it, super epic. Nobody is claiming that the game would be unbalanced, Bungie isn't saying "Oh man, the game would be so BROKEN if we allowed you to unlock all of the mods." The whole point is a limited selection that you're intended to work with. It's great that you feel you should be able to unlock all mods, but then there would be no point to "unlocking" them in the first place. That means the whole mechanic hiding these mods from you is a menial xp grind rather than a calculated set of decisions building your loadout for that respective season. If anything, having access to all of the mods discourages creative thinking. It wouldn't enable it to have all of the mods given to you on a silver platter. Edit: First layer of complexity: Certain mods only fit into certain pieces. Second layer of complexity: I can only unlock so many mods, better carefully make my decisions based around what I should unlock. I do think the glimmer cost is too much. I do not think the limited selection is a bad thing, it encourages critical thinking. Edit 2; Third level of complexity is fitting my full package into your mother’s mouth.

Id say even stay with the 12 or whatever spots just let us pick any 12, ive spent hundreds of thousands of glimmer just to test certain mods, and look its not the worst thing in the world but even just a little easier access would b a huge benefit
-
Yeah I agree, I see some snowflakes saying no. They probably meant that unlocking the mods means players will use all of them, thats not what OP is saying. OP means unlocking all the mods from the artifact, that doesn’t mean using all of them at once.
-
2 RespuestasI agree with your point, and I think a large amount of people are missing your point. It’s not being able to use all of them, it’s just being able to unlock all of them.
-
1 RespuestaYou got my vote!!!
-
10 RespuestasAs long as they nerf them, to compensate for the change
-
All mods should be unlocked after hitting lv20. Or at least give us 3 more slots.
-
2 RespuestasNo...it's a choice you need to make on each character If all could be unlock these perk will get nerf to the ground or all cost 6+
-
Lol I have my own build every season based around the New exotics the artifact mods to me are just crutch Lmfao, Honestly if you have God stats why complain about mods

5 RespuestasBungie: Understood. Changing sleeper stimulant into a water gun.

Additionally, some of you "decision elitists" need to understand: we don't need to be meta 100% of the time. My "decisions" to be sure I have the best mods mean I can't experiment with other content during easy times (not without spending tons of glimmer, increasingly) Bungie must set it up this way because they don't like us to experiment. What other conclusion is there :<
-
6 RespuestasHahaha you only have to be level 30 to get all 12 unlocks stop complaining
-
You are beyond right in calling this out Literally every single activity requires a different build every week sometimes daily Spending 300k+ glimmer in a day drives me nuts Yes glimmer is very easily obtainable, thats not the point though What we need is loadouts and a reworked Artifact system of being able to unlock the whole thing and be done Removing the cost of glimmer entirely for changing mods also needs to be done much like shaders
-
We should just have artifacts from all the seasons. And u choose which one u want to rock.
-
-
Yes a thousand times yes!!!! Pls do this bungie
-
Why is class item dropping from corrupted expunge missions it doesn’t have any stats, obviously a cloak isn’t what people are playing for
-
Ive always thought that once you've unlocked all the mods you should be able to toggle the twelve you want on and off. What's even the point of having the glimmer cost, do they not want us to experiment with the mods? The mod cost would stop us equipping too many mods that would make us OP so I just don't get how the system is like this, it's really annoying if you want to change one mod, you have to go through remembering which mods you want to keep that you picked last time just to change one mod.
