Please get rid of Hand Canon favoritism... See video for details.

2 RespuestasI just like handcannons over other guns like auto rifles
-
4 RespuestasDid you actually watch it? He is mainly talking about 120s. He acknowledges that all HCs have benefits but explicitly say he is not saying they should be nerfed. He is saying 120s are too hot.
-
2 RespuestasHCs have been super meta, and dominant in destiny since the beginning of D1. No matter what, they were always on top with shotguns and snipers. YEARS later, we're still here because bungo doesn't give a shit.
-
3 Respuestas390 RPM Pulse Rifles are trash now and Auto Rifles were gutted. Anyone who thinks Auto Rifles are fine, go up against a 120 HC and tell me how you do. When you combine the fact HC's can peek shot you and hit like a truck most other primaries cant compete.
-
14 RespuestasIf you gotta quote a youtube video instead of voicing your own opinion then get off the forum. Hate it when someone basically says "I hate this because some youtuber or streamer hates it".
-
17 RespuestasEditado por DredLaP: 6/16/2021 6:53:37 PMA streamer admitting hc’s are ez mode? Ease of use Forgiving Swiss army gun of destiny. Low risk, huge reward in current sandbox.

Pulses are incredibly strong on controller because of the reticle stickiness...
-
1 RespuestaWhatever. I use handcannons because they are fun. Nerf em buff em I’ll still use them. I think 140s and 180s are fine.

2 RespuestasEditado por Khorne: 6/17/2021 9:24:28 AMI think HC favoritism comes from mostly what the weapon type represents more than if it is strong or not. Anyone who uses high-impact pulses know they can shred people just as fast as HC's and from longer range. Anyone who uses SMG's know HC's can't compete with you at your optimal range because of the flinch. But still we see a lot of HC's around. Let me tell you this, you will always see HC's in crucible even if bungie nerfs them into oblivion. Why ? Because they are cool. That's right, they look and feel fun/cool. This is the same reason why you see ton of hunters in crucible. Are hunters OP ? Hell no. Actually i feel much more powerful when i play warlock and probably titan players feel this too. But what hunter represents is "cool" and that is one of the main reasons why they are "hot" just like 120's. If anything is too "hot" balance wise it is DMT imho.

Hand Cannons are Destiny’s golden children. Most likely they will be in meta till the end. Why else would they have so many -blam!-ing exotics?
-
Didn't that get a nerf
-
58 RespuestasToo many Hunter perks reward precision. There are more Hunters than other classes. As long as they are the majority. HC will always be meta. Member awhile back when AR’s were good, absolute chaos.

3 Respuestas" let other weapons be relevant in PVP." Recent podcast of developers " we don't want to buff scout rifles in PVP, we don't want a scout rifle meta." Make them relevant not meta but relevant. Kujay says it best in this video https://youtu.be/nqrLc1ocU3Y

8 RespuestasEditado por Bumblebee793: 6/16/2021 2:12:05 PMI think most of a handcannons favoritism is psycholgical.(tl;dr at bottom). Things like smgs and pulse rifles can compete with handcannons, but even with that why do we still see so many hcs? Pistol like weaponry is one of the most common weapon types seen in any media. What does Starwars, Firefly, and literally every western have in common? Cool gunslingers using handcannon-like weapons and being super cool at the same time. This association of handcannon-like weaponry with cool gunslingers makes people instantly like handcannons, even making them ignore other weapon types. The first time I saw a handcannon in destiny 1 I instantly thought they were the coolest things ever. Now I'm completely hooked on them. They're almost all I use for both pvp and pve. Like them or hate them, handcannons are a staple of destiny. It's one of the few games that doesnt relegate handcannon-like weapons to secondary slots or makes them nigh useless. And because of that, if handcannons are even slightly viable, they will still be one of the most popular weapons simply because it gives one of the coolest feelings. No other gun in any other game even comes close to how it feels to use a handcannon. A handcannon could be the worst possible option to use and I would still use it. Edit: forgot to tl;dr. Tl;dr: Handcannons are cool, that's why people use them.

1 RespuestaEditado por DiZ: 6/16/2021 1:26:11 AMEh, I could see a small aim assist nerf(say 5-15 on the higher ends) and another range nerf to 120s, but that's really about it. I don't like 120s mind you, but I'm not sure what else they could do besides making them need 2 crits and 1 body for a 3-tap on most people or make them 110s again. I think their biggest strength aside from ease-of-use and range is how well they specifically benefit from any and all damage buffs, but would we really tone those down just because of one archetype of one weapon class?
-
5 RespuestasHonestly just reduce the range of 120s a bit, make it require 2 stacks of rampage to 2 tap, and reduce the flinch you receive when being shot by them
-
Face it Destiny is just Bungie's thoughtlessness on being space cowboys. This is a horrible version of Cow Boy Bee Bop.
-
Bungie's answer here's 10 new and old exotic hand cannons🤣
-
9 RespuestasHe's right. ...and where you really see it is on PC. The ease of use when you go from playing with a HC on console with controller, to playing on PC with a controller is just jaw-dropping. The first time I did it, I just burst out laughing. It felt like cheating.
-
4 RespuestasAs long as they have 50M range and massive hit boxes, nothing will change. They are more reliable at mid range than mid range weapons like autos and pulses. I still prefer 180hc but I'd much rather have options like pulses and scouts.
-
Please get rid of Hand Canon favoritism... See video for details.
You are right, 100%. How many exotics HC vs ____? It's just easier to copy and paste basic movements of that weapon and design. Less creative coding. Just like jumping puzzles... That's not content. Just a few codes and let the players do the rest. If they stop the favoritism, most egos will go away with their unique only virtual "skills" attached. Probably their only achievement in virtual or real life. Many marriage would be saved and most expensive aim assist mod in controllers would be useless.

Editado por Olórin: 6/17/2021 2:47:11 PMSlightly reduce the Range, reduce the size of the Aim Assist cone considerably and increase the Accuracy (Except for PC) for 120's.
My reasonings for PC not to have the Accuracy buff is simply the fact it would probably benefit them more than it would nerf.
So the more Precise you are aiming your reticle, the more likely you are to hit your shots, making 120's a risk for reward weapon that requires a much more precise aim than before. This way landing hits favor the players Aim rather than relying on the Bullet Magnetism to be so strong and forgiving. So 120's have retained the same amount of DMG but the archetype is much less forgiving than it currently is now, again, creating a risk for reward type of weapon. The more skillful you are the more the weapon will favour you.
Imo, HC's are the poster child for Destiny, the way i see HC's is the way i see the Gnasher when i think of Gears of War or The Battle Rifle when i think of Halo. HC's will always be strong due to the reputation they hold but imo this would make them much more skill orientated, 120's that is at least.
38 RespuestasAuto meta was the best imo
-
Their maps all favor hand cannon and shotgun use. So, hand cannons are always going to be meta. That's the way Bungie likes PvP, a one trick pony.

3 RespuestasSilly, everyone knows that HC's are the only weapon that takes skill. They should remove all other weapons
