Anyone who goes on a gaming platform and uses the unintended input is contributing to one of the biggest problems in online shooter games right now. PC w/ controller and console with MnK and the two platforms having to play against eachother (crossplay) is a plague of modern shooter games, just look at ANY popular shooting game right now: Call of duty, Apex legends, R6 siege, Fortnite, all of these games' communities are in an unending deadlock over the advantages and disadvantages of controller and mouse and keyboard. They argue about it because they have to play against eachother; every single one of these games has FORCED crossplay. As a result you have controller players complaining about MnK players running circles around them because of the wider range of motion and more intuitive ability to control their weapons and characters, and you have MnK players putting thousands of hours into precise aim training and muscle memory just for someone barely moving a stick a milimeter to the left and right to demolish them in every situation because of aim assist. Each input has a situational advantage over the other and it is simply not fair. Input based matchmaking needs to become the norm or this will never end.
