There are quite a lot of shaders that are completely impossible to get, past season's IB, crucible, vanguard, gambit, and vaulted raids for example.
have these shaders drop randomly on gear from those activities or have them drop on special quests, theese would be great for new and returning players.
Vaulted raids could go directly to the kiosk since weapons and cosmetics from some raids are already there.
Emblems and titles should stay exclusive, shaders not so much. veterans who feel wronged by this should consider that you are not the only players that matter and your reward was to obtain it before everyone else.

Vet here. First off, you’re really not missing much with half of the Levi shaders. As far as I can tell, the ones from EoW and SoS really are just not that good to begin with. The ones from Calus are alright and maybe that pb&j like one from CoS, but the rest and even the ones from the Menagerie are honestly mediocre. I have a lot of shaders. I’ve only ever used at most 20 of the lot of them. That one shader I got from way back when Trials of the Nine were still a thing? It’s a generic pale white with watered down blue mixed in some bits. It is bland. A fair number of old shaders from Year 1 don’t even look good on half of the armor. Fact is, you’re griping about the old shaders like raid ones being unobtainable because there quite simply is a lack of decent ones readily available to get right now. That’s the real issue here. If there was an actual way to go for current shaders instead of having to wait for them to trickle down Everpurse and the crappy engrams that give you a ghost shell or sparrow that you’re gonna immediately dismantle, then there wouldn’t even be a need for New Lights to go for the old shaders. That said, I really could care less at this point over any sort of exclusivity, like the Kill-Tracker Ghost. At best, they ought to put raid shaders behind the Monument to the Lost and have folks grind for the mats/spoils to purchase them. With all of that aside though, you’re just making a big fuss in the wrong place, which is what most folks tend to do nowadays on B.net unfortunately.

19 RespuestasEditado por Ranthop_II: 6/14/2021 12:03:42 PMWow, zero upvotes. People are jerks! There's no reason why old armor, shaders, or season pass ornaments can't be tied to a grind for people who didn't play during the time these items were relevant. Hell, Bungie could put them in Eververse - like they tend to do. EDIT: disregard "old armor" EDIT 2: I'm referring to old playlist shaders, obviously giving away shaders earned from challenging activities is a big 'no'. When I mention season pass ornaments, if you buy the season pass and couldn't grind all the ornaments that's one thing. I don't think there would be an issue if there was a quest for people to finish their grind and earn the ornaments that way. The mention of Eververse is jab toward Bungie.

1 RespuestaSolution: bring back the quests for gambit, crucible, and vangaurd shaders. But leave the endgame content shaders alone until the related endgame content is unvaulted

2 RespuestasEditado por sickjimmy: 6/8/2021 12:02:05 PMwhy everyone in this game wants what they didnt earn ??? from the dawn of times games were like this..if i play more than you and more years than you..then god damn i want to have more than you....coming here playing for one month and suddenly you must have everything you see around you....thats not how it works my friend....life isnt like this...its called dedication....try earning everything from now on and i hope you succeed....let veterans have something for themselves..thats what makes them veterans ffs

2 RespuestasEditado por Kiteo Hatto: 6/9/2021 10:01:12 PMThey just gonna keep releasing shader packs for 1-3.5k silver now and then.....probably. Gatekeeping shaders and emblems doesn't really make sense for me. Its just a colour and a jpeg that you stop paying attention to after seeing it a couple of times. Its not an actual model or loot. You got it for free by playing early, latecomers need to pay. That said, i have like 90% of stuff and i only use like 3 shaders and wouldnt mind if people had to pay to get it. It doesn't hurt my ego in anyway that new peeps get something i got 4 years ago.

Its cosmetic so no. Shoulda played. :|

2 Respuestasnah. not every shader. shaders like honors of the nine should stay exclusive as is. looks better too when most don’t have it ;)

You WANT Bungie to do something with old shaders to make them obtainable. Bungie NEEDS to do something about Lobby Balancing Bungie NEEDS to make new PvP maps. Bungie NEEDS to make a better Anti-Cheat. See the differences here?

9 RespuestasMommy that person over there has stuff I want but I don't have so get me it. That's basically this thread in a nutshell I'm also not convinced some of those vocally supporting bringing back old shaders in the thread aren't alts. Some old stuff will rotate in and you'll be able to get it. Keyword SOME. Because there are some things that should stay in the past as a nod to old players that stuck with the game through its lifespan. my shader collection isn't complete and I've been here since Halo so get over the fact that there's alot of things you've missed out on, you'll actually enjoy the game more.

2 RespuestasVeteran players already get screwed out of a ton of other things that we had to grind and work hard for. It’s unfortunate, but shaders are a way to signify that you put the time in to get them as an optional in-game look. The only way new players should have access to them is by doing quadruple the grind that vets did, similar to how older weapon catalyst quests from the kiosk require quadruple the grind. Why punish players who supported the game and were minimally compensated for it, and reward players late to the party that already get half of the goodies basically for free?

2 RespuestasNo. Old raid shaders shouldnt go to the kiosk. People shouldnt get stuff for free without putting in any effort.
-
8 RespuestasYeah...no. I've been playing the entire time and don't have every old shader. Because I didn't earn them back then. Why should I be entitled to them now? It's already ridiculous they made it so the black armory shaders can just drop now after how much of a grind it was to get those.
-
29 RespuestasNo... should stay exclusive for those that played...
-
No they dont
-
8 RespuestasNeeds to? They're cosmetics. New players are not at a disadvantage without them. Sounds like a "I want this" problem and not a "I need this" problem.

Editado por AT_Safijiiva: 6/8/2021 11:49:38 AMI'm sure if you say. "I'd like to buy these old shaders and missed cosmetics for silver". Bungie will help you out.

I see no problem with adding old shaders to the kiosk. raid shaders can take spoils. it's free content on their end

44 RespuestasIf you weren’t there, that sucks, but it is what it is. Move on. Hope you find different shaders you like.

7 RespuestasI do not like what they did with the BA shaders. I didn’t have them before, and I won’t use them now as I didn’t earn most of them. For the old shaders, I’ll use a personal example. In the season of dawn, I was going through rough times mentally. Destiny 2 was really a blessing and a curse. The grind it gave me (I did all crucible, gambit, and most strikes pinnacles and rituals during this season) was a way to vent, and it helped me be less stressed for real life stuff, but it was also annoying doing that grind, getting mad at how hard it was at times. Because I played so much, I got the shaders and emblems, which was another reward that I saw and I wanted to look cool since my fashion then was a lot worse than now. I know people want them now, but why shoddily they have it? I played my heart out to get them and because of that, I have an attachment to them. If people can get them now for basically for free, that’s just not fair to me. I was invested and I cared about the game when they weren’t. Why should they get the same stuff for less work.
-
10 RespuestasOr they can leave them as is for those that were actually there to get them.
-
It’s a skin. It doesnt affect gameplay. A lot of them are tied to hard achievements, and should be left to the people who earned them. Stop complaining because someone who completed a hard challenge or prestige raid has a different shade of blue than you.
