In the first 10 days i ran 21 complete clears/Atheon kills. I joined several teams at atheon to help them get their first clear. So I had 21 clears and 30 sherpas. I owed these people nothing. I put 20-100 mins, of my own time, into teaching and helping them get needed exp, confidence, and the clear. 30 people recvd that for nothing. I was not alone, 100’s of others were doing the same thing. Did we not do enough? How many sherpas do I need to do before I can have a run thats really fun for me? My friends and I planned on doing many more sherpas over the coming weeks. I will be honest though, seeing threads like this and people complaining that there isnt enough help, makes me want to stop and walk away. No matter how much we help, its never enough. The people who get help, dont often come here with a positive thread thanking the sherpa, so we see 50/1 complaints. I work my ass of in these teaching runs. Sometimes gotta play perfect covering others mistakes. It can be pretty stressful. Do i not deserve an occasional run with people like me to unwind and have some fun. A quick 35-40 min clear? I promise you it holds back the burn put and keeps me doing sherpas. You know how many times i was lied to during these? Join a team and ask, how many with clears. One raises his hand. Spend 2 hours, wondering how they have clears, but dont understand detainment. Finish the raid, to see i got 4 new sherpas. 3 lied, making them way the hell tougher. Who helped me get in there and learn it? No one. I made a team, put in hours and we got it. No one owed me a thing. All others with no clears could do the same thing today, but they wont. Likely 30+ excuses as to why. Imo they just realize its much easier to wait it out. Let others put in the time and effort. Cry a little on forums. Then wait for an ez run with a sherpa. All of this is why so many sherpas, really good people who love to teach and help people, who value the excitement from a player getting his first clear as more rewarding than the fatebringer, are walking away from doing sherpas. Sometimes i want to teach. Sometimes i want a fun quick run. On tues reset i can run 3 in a couple hours or do one sherpa. I think i will take the 3 quickly, leaving me all week to help. Why is that wrong? Why is that toxic? To me the lazy people who wont even put in a little effort for their clear, and then act/feel entitled that someone like me owes them my free time, i see toxicity and issues there.

I was LFGing the 3 man yesterday just for practice and to help people who hadnt done it and saw people looking to clear farm and asking for 40+ clears. Actual deranged individuals. Being a "hardcore" PvE player I have some elitist in me but Im always willing to help and teach... some people have just lost the plot. "Have a clear" "have experience" is what I would ask, 40+ in a week is just sub human behaviour

Just make your own team? I usually ignore the "Must have x completions" since in my experience they're usually the ones that end up getting carried.

I swear, so many people on this forum would rather complain about raiding than actually try to get into one. First of all, you can make your own group with your own requirements, you can even put in the title that it's your first time and that you're seeking other first timers, now you're getting to raid and you're also helping out others like you. There are also other options though, because there is now a specific emblem for helping 10 first timers with vog people are actually looking for first timers constantly, like, I dont really believe you even tried to find a group because when I go into lfg I always see groups like "teaching raid for emblem, first timers only" you can easily jump into any of those groups or, once again, make your own group requesting a teacher. It really isnt that hard to get a raid group together for your first raid, you just need to put in some amount of effort.

People want fast runs...they probably have a life and have other things they ant to do. If you don’t like this stop being lazy and make your own fireteam and run a raid however u want. Pretty simple.

That’s why there should be matchmaking for everything. Yeah, you’ll get shitty teams sometimes but it’s better than being locked out of raids and activities by a bunch of tools.

I would just like an overall consensus on the Oracles on Atheon. Is it 1-6 Left, right, mid, front mid, back mid.... front 1-3 back 1-3 1-6 clockwise, counterclockwise wise? Like wtf is it??? All these different call outs are driving me bananas. My group on Day 1 called them as the 3 near Atheon spawn is 1-3 (left to right) And the 3 close to the pit are 4-6 (left to right) It's almost as bad as the whole "oryx is at the back on the room and the plate he goes to is #4. Then another person is all, "no he's at the front of the room and the plate he starts at is #1" 🤷🤦

Knowing the people here, I'm surprised you didn't already need 20+ clears before the raid came out in D2.
