People can do whatever the hell they want, if you get your feelings hurt over what some idiot says online then move to Twitter.

ah yes, i can too IRL but there's this thing called Consequences that kinda puts a stop to that. Just cause you CAN'T be punished for your shit behavior doesn't mean the shit behavior is warranted or wanted.
-
Ah yes, silencing people you dont like to hear. Just ignore them, easy as that. If you dont like that then go to Twitter
-
i'm not saying that's not an option but ignoring an asshole only does so much. However, it does NOTHING to discourage the behavor.
-
What the ever living hell are you talking about? You sound like one of those simps who say girls get harassed in every game they play, literally every game has a mute option and every platform has a mute/block option. Dont act like its limited it most definitely isn’t.
-
it STILL doesn't fix the issue as a whole. Ignoring a problem doesn't fix it, it's still a problem
-
After I destroyed your point you are really just gonna act like i said nothing? I mean i could totally demonstrate my point right now and make this argument go away and i never have to see it again.
-
Editado por AuraFlash: 5/18/2021 11:06:40 PMyou didn't destroy my point, you only think you do. A car that has engine troubles is still gonna have engine troubles even if you ignore it. And, sure, you can make it INVISIBLE to you, however, you'd still only be proving my point at this point because the argument is still here. it's never going away despite how much you ignore it. making something invisible is not the same as dealing with the problem as a whole. Will say, choosing NOT to engage is also something you can do and it Does help.
-
Big difference between a car and a person. And your point was destroyed, i guess you have never been muted/blocked or done that before. It makes sure that person can never bother you again. The problem goes away
-
We aren't talking JUST about people, where talking about a problem and problems are problems. and you can STILL see other people's responses to the person who you've muted, which means you can't see arguments or the whole list. Muting is shit, and it'll always be a shit option. It's like being a group of people trying to discuss stuff and one person is making a point and others are responding to them but you now lost context. i mean look at what's going on in the world right now, I can ignore it all the time but it STILL doesn't fix any of the issues. Just because a Car and a Person are different, the way you handled the problem stayed the same and it's still there, you're just electing to ignore it.
-
You have never muted someone before i guess, you stop getting their messages
-
you ALSO don't see their responses on Forums and such. and with the ability to make new Accounts all the time, Blocking does do very little to the VERY abusive people out there. i've actually experienced a person constantly making new accounts just to harrass me before after i've blocked them. Thankfully, they got permantly banned. Again, you can ignore the problem all you want, it doesn't stop a problem from existing, it's only until something is done does the problem stops.
-
Theres a difference between harassment and someone saying some shit to you online, and guess what! Because they harassed you and broke a ToS they got banned. Just mute the player, if they make a new account report the player for harassment, not some pathetic report actually go to a Ninja or moderator. And thats on this public form, i have accounts on all major platforms (i only play on PlayStation, and i know you can block players and set your settings so only people you want can message you.
-
Well, yes. I can also try to kill someone. Doesnt mean i should. My point is that, being on the internet doesnt give you a pass to be a dick to others.
-
Your example is very poor as there is a BIG difference between killing someone and saying stuff online. One involves 12 years to life in prison and one makes people who are snowflakes cry.
-
Ok then. I can also be a prick to random people o the street. But you shouldnt.
-
People can do whatever the hell they please as long as its not in direct harm of another persons Financial or personal wellbeing. Being mean online is fine just ignore the idiot, Online and the REAL world are very different places. I don’t care what you think is right, what i care is when you start saying how people should live, if you cant handle some guy insulting you online then maybe you are a snowflake.
-
Ignoring a problem doesnt make it go away, now does it?
-
When every game has a mute option, and every platform has a mute/block option it kinda does go away
-
No, it doesnt. You juat put your hand in your ears, scream "lalalalala" and hope it goes away.
-
No, it doesnt. You juat put your hand in your ears, scream "lalalalala" and hope it goes away.
In real life, yes it is like plugging your ears. Online. It's the same as snapping them out of your existence. Look, I will mute your pansy ass and never get a notification on any of your replies or messages. This forum topic is useless as hell.
-
No, you just close your eyes and hope im gone when you mute me, because thats what happens. You dont solve the problem. You ignore it.
-
You're wrong. Since you are muted by him you are no longer an problem for him. Therefore the problem is gone.
-
Its not gone, you just can see it anymore. I have blocked people myself, but im dont think they arent a problem here anymore.
-
They were an issue for you and after you muted them they were gone for you, correct? Problem, solved. If someone else has a problem they can mute them too. However, simply assuming that the people YOU disagree with are a problem for EVERYONE is a very subjective view. You're assuming that those same people are "toxic" to everyone in every post instead of the limited interaction you personally had with them. Chances are you're also assuming that they are using a certain tone that they might not be using at all. TLDR: If someone is bothering you mute them. You have no idea if they are "toxic" on any other posts and ultimately it's not up to you do dictate how others behave, that's Bungie's job.

verbal abuse IS a thing that you can go to prison for, you do know that right?
