It's only like 10% of the catalysts that need pvp. I think that's a fair amount of PvP needed. PvP is a decent part of the game, you can't expect to get all the loot if you aren't willing to play the whole game.

PVP weapons deserve to have their catalysts in PVP. But bows and sidearms are not good weapons in PvP, especially not on console. Season pass weapons (aside from auto rifles and shotguns) should not require me to get lucky enough to kill other players with those weapons. It took my friends nearly all of last season to get Ticcu’s catalyst. 50+ crucible matches, with the 4x boost from the season pass.

This seasons sidearm is amazing in PvP. It’s fair that it has a couple PvP steps. Not even hard at that.

Says the person that’s already at heroic in PVP and it’s week 1 of the season. If you’re good enough to use the weapons in PVP then good for you, but I’m betting that a majority of players that don’t like crucible are really annoyed that they have to do it for the catalyst. I’d rather see it be more specific to the weapon eg. “Freeze 100 targets with the LN2 burst” or something like that. Not the same quest steps that every seasonal exotic has had for at least the last 4 seasons.
