[i]Cobalt gets his sword up, trying to prevent the monster from hurting Fukua (15).[/i]

You dash out of the way of the claw that was heading for you, landing a clean slice across the palm of the one that was heading for Fukua. It pulled back its hand briefly, catching itself with the one formerly aiming for you, but then quickly pushed its wounded claw back down towards you to continue its assault. Fukua returned the favor, however, ducking out of the way, and sending tendrils of her hair impaling its hand from the side. Its claw missed you by a hair, though as it hit the ground it pulled Fukua along with it--her hair still being lodged inside--causing her to hit the ground. "Ow, ow, ow!" She said, as her hair got pulled by the claw.

[i]Cobalt attempts to slice off the hand, to let Fukua untangle her hair (14).[/i]

Your blade cuts cleanly through, and with the hand separated, Fukua easily does the rest of the work, tearing the hand into pieces to free the various locks of her hair. Then you hear a roar, and the second creature--though heavily, and visibly wounded, begins running towards you, as the one near you attempts to swat the two of you out of the way. Fukua, still grounded from before, doesn't get a chance to react in time.

[spoiler]I should talk to Nil about actually making a character sheet for Cobalt. Figure that’d be good for keeping track of things. [/spoiler] [i]Cobalt attempts to dodge the swatting monsters attack (12), and fires a pair of shots at the charging monster (15.)[/i]

[spoiler]I'm pretty good at making character sheets, too. Mine a tad bit more simple than hers, though; I record a characters abilities, and HP and stuff, but I don't go into too much depth with stats and stuff, since a lot of RPs don't bother with those. Still, depending on what kind of character sheet you want, I'm always open too![/spoiler] You jump out of the way of the attack, though one its fingers manages to hit you in the foot, throwing off your aim. Your shots still land, but only on the creature who just attacked, who doesn't seem too thrown off by the attack. Fukua, having still been on the ground, gets hit by the creature's hand, but not before summoning her spectre to take the brunt of the blow for her. Still, she gets hit, and tumbles across the room, until she hits the wall. The thorns from the creature's hands, and on the floors, have left her with several small cuts, and she lays there still for the time being, letting out a groan of pain. Once the two creatures get close to eachother, their veins begin untangling themselves, before putting themselves back together as one creature, almost too big to fit in the room. What was formerly something vaguely head shaped has now taken form as a huge much more defined shape, with a clear mouth that opens with a loud roar, letting out several smaller tongue-like vines as it did.

[/spoiler] [i]Cobalt loads an actual grenade, and attempts a funny run and jump onto the monster’s back (15). He tries to plant his sword in (14), and goes to plant the grenade inside.[/i] [spoiler]Stuff like that, gotta figure out how many types of grenades Cobalt actually has.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Yeah, I don't have too much experience with DnD, but I do study game design! I think I'm pretty good at setting up character sheets![/spoiler] Unfortunately, the monster's too large to actually get around to its back, but you manage to lodge your blade into its shoulder. The vines are thicker, now, though, and its shell doesn't completely break open. You'll likely need a few more strikes before you make any progress. It seems to have picked up on your tactics as well, as several vines sprout out from it shoulder, and begin whipping at you.

Is it weird that I have a ton of flirtatious lines ready, and they all seem like they would work reasonably well?[/spoiler] [i]Cobalt holds on to the blade, still lodged in, and shoots as many shots into the monster before the vines reach him. (18) When they do, he jumps off, leaving the sword in.[/i] [spoiler]And here would be the perfect time to have a rope or cord stapled onto the sword.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Nah. It'd be weird if you said them, though. Flirting with a vine monster. :p[/spoiler] You take several whips as your shots go in. Eventually a few bullets even poke out the back, as they break though the vines. You jump off, though as soon as you do one of its massive arms begins dragging itself across the room towards you. [spoiler]It'll get something like that, don't worry! For now, though, Fukua's still here, even if she's a little beat up. Feel free to ask for her help.[/spoiler]

But I was mostly hoping Aubrey could hear, they’d be more directed to her.[/spoiler] [i]Cobalt looks out towards Fukua, looking to see if she’s doing alright, then fires a set of shots towards the approaching arms. (Nat 20, hell yeah.)[/i]

[spoiler]Eh, not really. Aubrey could hear you, but she couldn't respond. And honestly, she's not really into you either. :p[/spoiler] Your shots crash into the arm, each one chipping off a sizable chunk of wood. As it gets closer, you manage to scramble up its side before it hit you, and come down on the other side, firing several more shots into it from there. Looking over at Fukua, you can see her pulling herself to a sitting position, though that last attack did clearly do a number on her, as she hesitates a bit more before actively hopping back into the fight. The creature then roars, ands its several tongue-vines shoot out from its mouth towards you, each one with a sharpened tip.

[spoiler]Probably a good thing, because I doubt Cobalt has the balls to cheat.[/spoiler] [i]Cobalt flicks out a mantis blade, and attempts to grab and cut some of the tongues. (14)[/i] “Fukua, talk to me! How’re you doing?!”

[spoiler]And even if he did, Aubrey probably isn't the best person to go with...[/spoiler] You smack two of the tongues out of the way, but the third makes it through, heading straight for you. Before it can pierce you, though, Fukua's spectre hops in front of you, and takes the blow, before retreating back to her body. Looking over, it seems she's finally gotten back to her feet, though she was still holding one of her arms. "I'm good.." She says, taking a few deep breaths. "I'm good." She quickly moves in to join you. "Any idea how to take this thing out? It's huge." After pulling its tongues back into its mouth, it grows two large horns on its head, perfectly spaced to impale the both of you, and begins charging forwards.

[spoiler]You'd probably wind up at the bottom of the ocean, though. >.>[/spoiler] "Not really. It can't phase through things. I'd need a pretty big opening. If you can get me a hole, though, I've got an idea!" You manage to dodge out of the way of the horn, but find yourself quickly rammed into by its shoulder, sending you to the ground. Still, you manage to throw your grenade in last minute, and though it gets caught by its various tongues, you can still see it shudder slightly as it explodes. Fukua manages to use her hair to grapple up to the ceiling, and land on its back, slashing a few times, but not making any sizeable dents. "Why is this thing so thick!?" She yells.

“What, you expected it to be easy?” [i]Cobalt recovers from the hit, and goes to grab his sword again, jumping towards the shoulder (12). The ice appears again, but Cobalt appears to accept it this time, and uses it to try and freeze a Fukua-sized area on the monster’s back (18).[/i]

You grab onto the sword, but it loosens a little more quickly than you intend, and you nearly slip off. The creature takes advantage of this, and shakes its shoulder, causing you to fall to the ground. Fukua throws a lock of her hair towards you, however, and pulls you up using her hair as a rope. Your sword lands in the back of its shoulder, and a fairly large area of ice appears. Not quite enough for Fukua to jump in, but it doesn't seem she intends to. Her hair begins to shimmer, and she runs over and jumps above the ice patch, firing a large ball of light into the area. It crashes through the ice, making its way into the beast's insides, before exploding. The thing's shoulder explodes completely, causing one of its arms to fall off. It finishes its charge, crashing its head into the wall. The impact causes the ground beneath you--i.e. its back--to shake, and the both of you tumble towards the actual ground. It seems its shoulder has already been covered up by more vines, but it still only had one arm, and seemed to be stunned from the impact of his head against the door.

The shoulder freezes, though the creature seems relatively unfazed as it turns towards the two of you. "Hey, hold on.." Fukua says, with a short breath of exhaustion. "I can't exactly do that twice in a row." A vine smacks you back towards Fukua's position, and the thing lifts one of its massive claws into the air, ready to bring it down on top of the both of you.

“I can.” [i]Cobalt leaps out of the way, towards the frozen shoulder, and fires a burst of shots into it.(19)[/i]

[spoiler]Doesn't even try to help Fukua out of the way. Cold. :p[/spoiler] You both duck out of the way, though the edge of the hand manages to catch your foot, causing you to fall to the ground. Still, you aim your gun, and fire a barrage of shots towards its shoulder. The ice breaks, and the shots manage to make their way inside, but the creature seems perfectly content to keep you pinned where you stand. Fukua takes the initiative, however, and runs up towards its head, forming two drills out of her hair, and punching it with them repeatedly until it finally lets you go. It counter attacks, by opening its mouth, and wrapping one of its tongues around her neck, slowly pulling her into its jaw. "This isn't exactly going as planned. Help..? Please?" She struggles to say.

[i]Cobalt jumps at the tongue, clearly intending to tear it apart with his bare hands (19). While doing that, he fires a set of grenades into it’s mouth, including a special cluster bomb.[/i]

[spoiler]I'm gonna transfer that 19 to the grenades, rather than the pulling apart the vines with his bare hands. They're a bit too thick for that.[/spoiler] Unfortunately, even with your enhanced strength, the vines seem to hold together fairly well. Your grenades on the other hand, manage to detach the tongues from somewhere far deeper inside the creature, and both you and Fukua fall to the ground along with them. The creature lets out a roar, and lunges its head towards you, seemingly trying to simply bite you in half.
