Nobody is forcing you to play anything.
If you don’t want to play something, don’t. It’s as easy as that.

This. If people are forced to play PvP, I guess last season people were ‘forced’ to complete GMs, ‘forced’ to do strikes, and ‘forced’ to buy the season pass. It’s not like Team Scorched even requires skill. You literally just jump around.

If you want to complete the content you have to play the game. Don’t force content onto people

Destiny 2 isn't a PvE-only game. If you want to complete all the content, you'll have to play all the content - both PvE and PvP. At the end of the day, nobody is forcing you to do anything and all the content is voluntary. You can play whatever you want.

Bungie provides the content, you choose what you want to play.

If that were true they would provide a choice of modes in which to satisfy the any/all of the season challenge requirements, or any of dozens of other compartmented rewards. But they don't. They want to cram some of everything up your butt, be it NF's, Crambit, or Crucicrap, and in some cases, raids. Apparently Bungo doesn't have enough faith in any of their game types to let them stand alone. It would be interesting if they would make incentives equally distributed and available in a variety of ways, and let people vote with their "feet." Oh wait, this is Bungo, who wants to control how you play and what you play it with to asinine levels of detail (see also: Champions, Joining Allies, etc.). Sad.

Ofc the player is the one who decides whether or not they want to participate, and I personally don't have any issues as long as we still get to skip 2 challenges, but no matter what you're still being forced to do what the game tells you to do no matter how the word is being used

So why do players post here when they should be complaining to a mirror since their choices force themselves to do things they don't enjoy. Yet they post here implying bungie is forcing them. Beyond idiotic is what it is

Whether "forced" is a good or bad thing is subjective, but players are still told to specifically do *that* game mode or the challenge won't be completed.

If you hate PvP so much, why buy a game that pushes PvP for the last 6 years? Just expect it by now instead of being surprised by it?
