Deathbringer catalyst does basically nothing to solve the bigger issue with Deathbringers "full dmg potential" and thats how Dark Descent isnt taking into account the orbs height to the floor. instead it takes "how far is travelled" from point of dispersion (aka when it splits in the air) to when it hits a target, so literally depending on the boss (lets take current NF boss) you still have to shoot this thing stupidly high even with catalyst to actually get any meaningful dmg out of it.
Please change the way dark descent works so that it takes "dispersion height and ground height" regardless of where the enemy is in relation to being hit. makes no sense that depending on the boss "shot height" has to be adjusted to ensure correct dmg output based on boss size/height. just go from "height to ground" and determine if the requirements are met to give full dmg output when dark descent is proc'd
I dont mind if you increase the "overall" distance required for travel to somewhat balance this potential change out as it would be a lot more reliable to proc but as it stands the catalyst does almost nothing to effect its usability still which is a shame.

Forgot it existed

Catalyst should've just been reduced the spread of orbs upon reaching max distance. Specifically do they could be better for boss DPS. Right now they just go everywhere and 2-4 orbs ignore the boss most of the time.

Really wish Deathbringer had a way to designate targets. It's annoying when all the orbs go after adds when I shoot it at a boss. Still useful for large groups of enemies, though.

Editado por whiskeychaser: 5/13/2021 1:12:05 PMThat gun is the worst, I could care less about the damage. The enemies are all dead before any seeker hits in a group activity. If you're using this thing on a boss than you must be really bored. It needs to move a lot faster, like 5x faster.

The physics could get messed up and confused with varying results, I think it’s good as is. Maybe just lower the max travel distance needed for full damage.

1 RespuestaThe Dark Descent perk's description is specifically:
The further a Void orb falls, the more powerful its detonation becomes.
Nothing in the perk description references the relative height between where the orb is released and the floor that you are standing on or the floor below a given enemy.
