Ice Breaker... In Destiny 2

Perks:
Choice of quickdraw/snapshot
Various barrel perks
Reconstruction
[spoiler]Basically reloads like Ice Breaker year 1, except this has reserves and you can pick up ammo. It only reloads with reconstruction [/spoiler]
Exotic Perk: Ice Breaker
This weapon fires stasis rounds and cannot be reloaded. Enemies hit by this weapon are slowed, a second shot will freeze targets. Precision kills with this weapon create a stasis explosion in a small area around the enemy, freezing targets.
[spoiler]I don’t think this area would be too strong of an effect, i’m thinking of 1/2-1/3 the size of a duskfield nade. Maybe a bit smaller than the size of a Cloudstrike headshot [/spoiler]
Exotic catalyst: destroying a stasis crystal or a shattering a frozen enemy will move one round from the reserves to the magazine.
[spoiler]alternative catalyst: destroying stasis crystals or frozen targets grants a 5 second buff that increases the recharge rate of reconstruction [/spoiler]

Bungie has already said icebreaker is permanently retired it will never be brought back into the game and if they would bring it back with out regenerating ammo defeats the whole purpose of the gun the whole gun was the regenerating ammo and if you lose that then it’s just another worthless exotic wasting a spot that could of be used for a new exotic(lol).

Sadly if it doesn’t come back as it was in D1, there will be torches and pitchforks. I think it’ll stay gone, and rightly so.

I think icebreaker can return as is from D1 but with a slower recharge rate

My first thought when I read the title was Icebreaker “ammo glitch”!! Which I would gladly welcome. LoL

Accually stais might rain that guy in if it could only freeze and not kill. Kindof a support weapon. That said, the exploding enimies for ice breaker was why it was fun. Maybe like others have said, make this a new gun and only bring back the duck as it was.

Ice Breaker is already a gun in this games universe anything other then the real thing would be a insult to the guns history. I think you should definitely re-name the gun

No. Stasis has ruined PvP enough. You find a way to implement this in PvE only and I'm all for it. But honestly it sounds like a mediocre at best PvE weapon.

That’s a cool idea but I’d rather it be called something else as it’s just not icebreaker. Same with Hawkmoon.

The main problem is get hit by it slows you also what's the impact/archetype is it aggressive? adapted? rapid fire?
