I think people should relax. I pay for every dlc and season pass day 1 and could not care less if they find other means to monetize the game. I won't buy Silver myself unless I can buy weapons with it. I play Destiny because it's fun to shoot things and that is enough for me. I do enjoy reading all the eververse rants though. That's fun and also free 😊

I was with you until you said you would be down for a pay-to-win scenario.
-
I didn't mean I think that's a good idea. I just meant if they would implement that I would probably partake. My preference would be to be able to pick up any weapon off the ground until you die. Like in cod (speaking about casual PvP) which is all I play. I will never get the trials weapons so at least that would be a way to get a taste
-
yeah but it's a whole different thing because the monetization aspect is there regardless of the limit which is where I like you see it as a feature they can and debatably should have. The part thought where you're being capped and pushed to buy more stuff, even if you have bought expansions and season passes is what rubs me and i'm sure many the wrong way. The grind is a grind and that's why some people play destiny and enjoy for said shooting and fun. The nudging of 'you've stuck with us for this long and been asking for this since D1, so here it is! but only a certain amount then you can pay us :)' is the thing that rubs people the wrong way. especially given the math and actual length of time I'm sure you've seen people estimated it would take to even get a tenth of the legendary gear you would want
-
Just want to point out that this is the type of lax attitude that leads to monetization policies becoming slippery slopes. Having a cap on transmog (something that we've been waiting for forever) is basically taking a fat dump on the playerbase when it should've been an easy win for Bungie. They were too worried about losing money from Eververse bc people can actually wear what they want to now. Their mistake is not realizing that people are still going to buy from Eververse, as long as they make good armor sets in it.

Bungie is a for profit business. It's their right to implement what they want and it's our right as consumers to either partake or take a pass. It's a cliché but "vote with your wallet". If they overstep they will be forced to course correct. Part of what I like about the game is that it's constantly evolving. It's never dull, always in flux. It's part of the appeal for me. Of course if I was into Destiny fashion I would probably be upset like many, but I'm not so I'm indifferent. As for lax attitude I'm 100% onboard with this stance. It's a game.

It’s my right to walk down the street and call someone a piece of shit Doesn’t make it ok
-
Editado por Sernik: 4/28/2021 10:23:01 PMSee the difference is you see it as "Calling someone a $hit" And I see it as "Asking for spare change".25 Don't buy Silver and they will buckle. It's really elementary
-
Just because it's someone's right to do something doesn't mean it's not shitty. The reason people do express their negative opinion on this is because even though they are voting with their wallets Bungie continues to do shitty things like this bc whales exist. We already pay money for this game. That's their monetization. All in all it doesn't matter what I write here. Because you're just someone who doesn't have as much passion for this game as others.

I have 905 hours in Destiny 2. I normally play at least 4-5 times a week I never did more than 100hrs in any other game in my life but ok...
-
D1 2985 Hrs D2 4440 Hrs I did buy a little silver in D1 but in D2 I still have the 1k that was gifted at launch but once that's gone (If I see something worth it which I doubt) They can whistle for extra cash beyond DLC / Season Pass. That's assuming I continue playing of course.

That's some nice numbers. I wish I would have used my free Silver the buy the broomstick sparrow but instead bought a stupid tombstone emote lol
-
I waited till the broomstick was available for bright dust. A patient guardian is Bungie's worst nightmare ;)

Lol nice!
