Bungie,
Why does the unstoppable perk not work for me?
I"m ADS - the gun glows, I see the perk on screen. I'm hitting the champion and nothing happens. This happens repeatedly!
In the meantime, one of my teammates has to stop the champion for me.
Some extra things you don't see in this Night Fall GM footage:
- A single teammate can stop 2 unstoppables back to back with a handcannon or pulse with pretty much zero time between shots. Bang and Bang. Both stopped.
- My teammates simply point, perk pops and they shoot. No hesitation....if I do the same or wait extra long, or make sure its a precision shot or a body shot or the gun is fully loaded or partially loaded....no difference. They stop them 100% of the time and I"m about 10-20% of the time.
Below is the handcannon and pulse footage. Each time I'm ADS, shot lined up, weapon glows, perk is on screen, I hit...and nothing. Rinse and repeat until i'm charged by champions (or die). In the meantime all the stopping is done by my teammates.
- Had one situation where I was repeatedly trying to stop a champion, teammates were down and when I finally did stop the champion, the stop action sounded twice(same time) and showed on screen twice for the same champion but it only stopped once.
- This part has been less frequent but I've also had problems in a legend lost sector on Europa with overloads and machine guns/grenades. I stop the overload and he pauses, bends over and IMMEDIATELY stands up. This was happening when I was alone despite no one else interacting or using other skills. Even if I did complement this with an overload perk grenade (arc)...also happened with other players watching and/or assisting in the same lost sector. It also happened when I logged into my son's account and ran the same lost sector.

Note sure if this makes a difference when viewing but I found bungie pass through link to show horrible quality but the direct youtube link seems better.

Hey, After recovering from a stagger, Unstoppable champions have a brief window where they cannot be staggered again. As long as they have those white glows around them, they are immune to being staggered, and you just have to stay out of their way. Overload champions have a similar mechanic. There is one instance in the pulse rifle video where it seems you should have stunned the champion, but that was probably just a case of desync. While it seems like you shot first, the game server simply recognized your teammate's shots first. All of the other times, it looks like you shot a champion while they were in their immune phase.
