I'm am sure that this has been asked before, but why the hell can't you bring back ammo synths.
For the love of God, how many times have we been in a Nightfall/Raid/any activity at all, and you fail or it takes WAY longer then it should because there were no ammo drops.
Ammo finders seam to be a placebo most of the time. They either flood you with ammo, or, most often, do nothing.
Just bring back the Ammo Synths.

1 RespuestaWhat if. Hear me out There were mechanics in the game that gave heavy and special ammo, that you could reliably perform that didn't require some arbitrary consumable item and instead improved gameplay?
-
Ammo drops should not be RNG based period. Example: Primary drops every 10 kills, this will scale higher or lower based on the difficulty of the activity. Special drops every 15 kills. Heavy drops every 20-30 kills. Famine should straight double these numbers. The numbers I used were only examples and should not be taken seriously.

Editado por Obscure Meme: 4/14/2021 3:35:12 PMI tend to run Scavenger with Finder because Finder alone actually gives diminishing returns per brick. It seems to me like the Finder perk drops a seperate group of ammo that is about 1/3 - 1/2 of a normal brick. Scav offsets this a bit since you gain bonus on a pickup. I think if bungie simply adjusts it a bit we might not have to revert back to synths; we need more guaranteed drop options like those finisher ones that I never use lmao

7 RespuestasEditado por TheArtist: 4/12/2021 12:14:43 PM1. Because controlling ammo supply is how Bungie sets limits on player power, and pressures players to leave cover and expose themselves to danger. In short, ammo synths and ammo-regenerating weapons (cough, Ice Breaker) just led to cheesing and other toxic play styles in most content. 2. Destiny 2 has raid banners which replenish ammo and super energy between raid runs. So ammo synths aren’t necessary in raids and other content that allow them like Wrathborn Hunts. 3. Bungie just needs to get rid of the Internal Juggler mechanic (ammo tend not to drop for the weapon class you are currently using) and the RNG aspects of what ammo does drop.

4 RespuestasThere is an armor mod that generates ammo with every finisher. Empowered Finisher if I'm right. I could be wrong though. But I do have that mod. It's good for primary and special.
-
Ammo Sythns would break the game. Just be happy we have rally flags before major encounters.
-
26 RespuestasJust no. Going into your menu and using a consumable to generate ammo is quite possibly one of the stupidest mechanics I have seen in my recent gaming memory. Learn to use the mods the game gives you, and how to use ammo efficiently, and you will not have a problem.

Then Some Armor mods and weapon perks were introduced as inconsistent options to the lack of ammo. Note there is a constant routine running in the background, verifying if you have no ammo to give you 2 or 4 bullets out of thin air, to feel the supposed challenge, change "strategy", kill yourself, or just quit. The lack of ammo challenge, replace the lack of content and give programmers something to do - increasing the game gb size unnecessarily and increase confusion - or your guardian customization. Obviously, it extend the time to kill(No heavy ammo), to include advertising during a streamer/marketing session. But hey there are exceptions like Esoterickk in YouTube. It was also the answer to Pvp players who only wanted Hand Cannons ammo, due to a personal fantasy or a real life useless virtual skill, more notable in a pc.

I get like 1 or 2 heavy ammo bricks for 1k voices with an ammo finder within a strike. The ammo drops are a joke

Is it wrong to feel torn about ammo synths in D2? I'll explain my mixed feelings here and hopefully I won't get downvoted. On one end, yes, ammo synths are super convenient in D1 and there's no doubt they'd be the same in D2. When this comes to my mind I think "hell yeah bring them back" On the other end, though, they might end up trivializing a lot of raid boss encounters not just from current raids, but in the future, too. To counteract this Bungie would have to increase the total health of future raid bosses to the point where they'll be next to impossible to kill without heavy ammo. When I think of that scenario I hesitate to agree. So overall I don't agree or disagree; I just feel this awkward eagerness to pick a side, but I just can't help but hesitate choosing one. I could easily be wrong in my reasoning above, as it's mere speculation but still it's enough to give me pause. I'll be happy if they come back, but if they don't come back I think I can handle it. Thanks if you took the time to read this whole thing and have a nice day :)

Every stage of every raid has raid banners which give you full ammo and super. And nightfalls ammo conservation is a part of the challenge. Synths aren’t needed.
-
Editado por TheShadow: 4/13/2021 3:03:40 PMIt's funny how players are saying we have mods, etc... But fail to see that they don't work the same for every especially knowing it feels like there is RNG in everything in this game. If there is knowing how Bungie"s RNG has worked against players as it can work for others? Something needs to change that bennifts all players, not just some.
-
I don’t want ammo on a timer again.
-
1 RespuestaAmmo that actually drops from the finder mods are a joke , they give very little ammo If the brick isn't glowing it didn't come from your mod We need ammo synths
-
2 RespuestasDo we really need them anymore we've got aeon swift gauntlets that spawn ammo.
-
Editado por Swiftlock: 4/13/2021 2:35:32 AMThey'd be redundant with aeons, finisher mods and raid banners being a thing.
-
Uhhh. Havent had this problem, even in GMs cuz generating ammo is not hard? Just play better. Special finisher, Artifact mods when available, Aeons.... It really isnt hard.
-
special ammo finisher heavy ammo finisher scavenger mods ammo finder minds extra reserves charged with light mod rally flags public event banners aeon cult exotics no
-
Editado por Jebus Kreist: 4/12/2021 10:23:15 PM"No" They were "fine" in D1 because heavies weren't defacto 80% of your dps on most bosses and rally flags didn't exist. They also didn't have ammo-finders everywhere and to my memory it was only for 1 set of titan legs that made it so that when you killed enemies it had a relatively good chance to spawn a full purple brick for everyone. Now ammo-finishers, Aeons (built in heavy-ammo-finisher against champion for no super energy cost!), ammo-finders, and scavengers are really easy to plaster everywhere. The ammo economy is fine right now even though sometimes it feels like it doesn't work. Because other times you get more than you can possibly hold.
-
If you run out of primary or secondary ammo after a while it just regens. But yes I agree bring back synths.
-
Well tbf we do have raid banners for raids now
-
1 RespuestaJu s t bring back d1
-
1 RespuestaIn d1... I think I had several stacks. Why you may ask? Dragons breath, ghally, swords and the extremely OP heavy weapon. SUPER GOOD ADVICE.
-
That would be so handy ! That’s what I like about outriders ....barely ever run out of ammo.
-
YAAA! AMMO SYNTHS!
licks finger
7 RespuestasJust make ammo drop at 100% since it would be for pve only anyways. There problem fixed. Just like the whole weapon system being reverted back to destiny 1. Destiny 2 vanilla system was better. Add more ammo to reserves and make ammo drop at 100% from enemies. Done. Rebalanced the game in the process. If players want shotguns, sniper rifles, and fusion rifles for kinetic and ENERGY slots then bungie need to get off there lazy ass and put some effort into making those weapons specifically for those slot instead of being lazy.
