I've always felt like the titan's class ability pales compared to the other two classes. With reworks coming down the pipe for the light subclasses, I thought of a few things to make both versions of the barricade better. I don't intend for the ideas on this list to all be used, or maybe they could. Or maybe there's only one or two ideas that are any good. Anyways,
General changes for both Barricades:
- Decrease time to deploy barricade
- While in the air, inputting the command to deploy barricade will cause the titan to rapidly slam straight to the ground, deploying his barricade upon contact with the ground.
- In addition to being able to deploy barricade in the air, slamming down while deploying barricade will cause either a brief stun/ blinding effect, OR cause a concussive blast that causes a minor amount of damage. Effects are increased the higher the titan was when air deploying a barricade. Guardians can take additional damage if slammed in to a wall.
Tower Barricade:
- Make the barricade slightly concave, kind of like Orisa's shield from overwatch. This may help offer a little better protection against people just jumping over the barricade.
Rally Barricade:
- Right now when a titan deploys a rally barricade, he stands up slightly right at the end of the animation. Before you have a chance to control yourself again, you can already be getting shot in the face while you're supposed to be protected. A couple ideas to address this. You can make the barricade slightly taller, while still retaining the ability to peak over the top when ADDing. The titan animation could be altered to keep him from rising up at the end of the animation. I'd also like these implemented in general to allow the titan to move left to right behind the shield without his head getting exposed.
Titans are meant to hold the line. They're meant to be a wall. With the exception of a couple exotics that alter the functions of the barricade, the barricade on its own is easily countered doesn't provide as meaningful of an impact as the other two classes abilities. That's just my opinion though. Some changes like these could make barricades much more fictional and widely used.

1 RespuestaEditado por Facelauss: 4/10/2021 3:49:17 AMIt should deploy like 0.3s faster and that’s it Maybe 0.15s faster

1 RespuestaAs a titan main, these are awful changes. A barricade shouldn’t be an instant win button like a hunter dodge is, it’s already absurdly useful for peaking around corners and if you have one set up BEFORE a firefight you should be able to win that fight by fighting around your barricade

4 RespuestasTL:DR: OP wants to turn barricade into a panic button. Quick deploying barricades that you can instantly dive down out of the air to cast? That sounds absolutely miserable to play against, especially in Trials/Comp. Tower Barricade does what its supposed to. It's not a get out of jail free card. You set it up BEFORE the enemy team rushes you. I agree that rally barricade could use more utility in PvE, though.

I would like hunters to get some ability to assist/support team. Titans can use barricade as cover or shoot through (w/ exotic). Warlocks can stand in well getting healed or damage buff. All available on each subclass. Smoke bombs are good as get away option, throwing knives are pretty much only good in PVP and for trash mobs.

Editado por Sir Boldemor: 4/9/2021 9:59:26 PMWhen last time you played with other classes? have mercy at least on poor warlocks, we can't even put a simple rift if there is a small bump on our way and before doing buffs like these bungie should learn how to balance things without breaking them or nerfing into the ground like they did with dire ahamkara helmet. personally i wouldn't mind if they make barricade more tanky, cuz when it was nerfed i feel like im standing behind the cardboard sheet
