Spoils of Conquest Should Drop From Other Sources

Dear Bungie Team, Keeping Spoils of Conquest tied to the current Raid only is not the incentive you think it is. There are far too many people who do not Raid for a variety of reasons. I humbly suggest that you start adding Spoils of Conquest to other activities where they drop at lower rates that in the Raids. Keep the Raids as you best and most efficient way of getting Spoils of Conquest, but add it as a possible drop from other activities. Running Raids will allow you to farm for the currency the fastest and the easier the other activity, the lower the drop chances will be. My rationale is this, once the Raid enters the DCV after a couple of years, does it really matter how people earn it the the future as it was originally a draw to get someone to play Raids? At that point, how does it really matter how someone grinds for a Raid exotic that has been nerfed multiple times, it is nowhere near the power it once held, and may have limited utility in the game? Edit: Everyone who says it was an exotic that was originally in a Raid so the currency to purchase it should remain in the Raid to "respect the grind and effort" it took for you or others to earn it are missing a significant and glaring shortcoming to your logic. That flaw is that there are a significant number of other exotics and weapons in that kiosk that used to be earned from significant quests or activities. Weapons such as, but not limited to: Sleeper Simulant - From a quest that involved significant time and effort across multiple activities. Polaris Lance - From a quest that involved significant time and effort across multiple activities. Malfeasence - Had to play Gambit to get and defeat a certain Primeval. Then complete a quest that involved significant time and effort across multiple activities. Lumina - From a quest that involved significant time and effort across multiple activities. Thorn - From a quest that involved significant time and effort across multiple activities. Whisper of the Worm - A special, timed mission that took time and effort to learn and master to complete in the allotted time. Outbreak Perfected - A special, timed mission that took time and effort to learn and master to complete in the allotted time. The Last Word - From a quest that involved significant time and effort across multiple activities. This is not to mention the time and effort involved with earning some of those pinnacle weapons such as Redrix, Recluse, Luna's Howl, Mountain Top, and Not Forgotten - All I went and earned before they were "handed" out for purchase with an exotic cipher (easily obtained from Zur), some glimmer, world mats, and masterworking mats in a kiosk. If you are wondering what my point is of this rebuttal, then here it is: None of you care when those of those of us who do not Raid have all of the time and effort it took us to earn many of those exotic and pinnacle weapons that are now in the kiosk cheapened by the fact that they are there. But, you have issues with exotics from retired activities, that are no different than Whisper or Outbreak, purchasable by having a certain currency obtainable from other sources at a slower rate and longer grind and you now have issues with it. Honestly, each and every one of your are simply hypocrites. If you earned those exotics and pinnacles as I did, it should frustrate you as much as it does me that your time and effort was cheapened as well. This suggestion is not about handouts, a handout would be putting them in the general loot pools where you find a yellow engram on the ground. It's about the future of this game. Either all exotics and pinnacles from retired activities or quests are treated the same where the kiosk is concerned or the kiosk is removed and the original sources brought back into the game. All I'm asking for is a longer, slower grind for the same resource that is guaranteed in the Raid. The Raid will still be the quickest and most efficient grind. And before you ask; no, I have no interest in doing and wasting my time getting any the Legendary loot in those Raids that, quite frankly, is no better than PvE loot and would be quickly broken down. Should Bungie, someday, actually create Raid loot that is as powerful and play-impacting as they look, I might consider it. But right now; most of it is not worth going after. If the Raid is as easy as many of you claim - easier than a strike, as one of claimed - Then I'm asking for a longer, harder, and more challenging grind by asking that the payout scale to the difficulty of the activity. The higher the difficulty, the greater the payout. The quicker and more efficient I and my friends are at overcoming the greater challenge, the greater the payout. I'm asking for a challenge worthy of true exotic weapons with game-impacting perks. Not some "easier-than-a-strike" Raid like Deep Stone Crypt and I'm not asking for some lazy glitch farm. Sincerely, Proxima77
